Arrival Story: Butch is now the typical "old Man" who enjoys just sitting, relaxing and watching TV with one of us.He was born to our schnauzer female Price's Oklahoma Schooner. He was one of only 2 males she ever had. When the pups were taken in for tail docking and puppy checkups but was found to have hyper extended ligaments in his hocks. The Vet said he would never walk and we should put him down. Mom and dad both said no and we took him home and did therapy with him. By 12weeks he was walking on his own. When the Vet saw this she said by age 3 he would be to heavy to walk. Butch is 11 now and only shows his disability rarely. Hes a very good dog and one who will be with us til the end.

Tonight is what seems Butchs last night. Time, age and illness are proving too much for him. I picked him up from my dads to stay with us tonight so that he will go in tomarrow for the peace he deserves. At nearly 13 arthritis, tumors and various other problems have finally taken all he can take. HE lays now on the floor, half ontop of the heater vent, he has eaten very little in the past 4 days. I dont know what else to do, hes suffered enough, with my mom not ready to let go just yet.
