Arrival Story:
After losing my rottie over 9 years ago my parents tried to make me happy by getting a new dog, well... five of them, all chihuahuas. Me not being a fan of small dogs, how could they think I would replace my 90 lbs. rottie with a 5lbs. chihuahua, yeah no! They saw that i wasn't happy and I wasn't shy about voicing my opinion on those little rat dogs, years went on with discontent and finally on my 22 birthday my parents surprised me and said I could get a dog, to tell you the truth I had been planning on getting a dog anyway, I had all the supplies and I had been going to the local animal shelter looking at the dogs, and at the Carlsbad Animal Services Center I found him, curled up on a hard,cold cement floor looking at me with his sad amber eyes. Neyo was his name or at least that's what his old owner named him before he was given up. The day my parents told me I could get a dog I raced over to the Shelther and waited outside the door afraid that someone had already come to take him away, as soon as they unlocked the doors I ran straight to the kennels to see if he was still there and he was, I ran back to the front desk, filled out the adoption form and waited to have an one on one interaction with my soon to be best friend. After waiting for what seened forever a animal care tech came out and took me to a field and then brought him out, I was in love!!!!!!but then the news came, I couldn't take him home that day, he wasn't neuthered I would have to wait two more days before I could hold him in my arms at home. Those two days went by soo slow all my friends were wanting to see him, and so was I, finally the day came when I could pick him up at the vet office they sent him to, I was so excited! I pulled up to the clinic andwent inside and of course waited FOREVER, and then they brought him out, of course was scared and very unsure of where he was, like the sweet little baby he is, I scooped him up and walked with him in my arms all the way back to my car. On the way home I kept looking in the rearview mirror watching him and thinking to myself, "I can't believe I have a dog, a dog that I wanted." We finally arrived home and my parents were waiting wanting to see the new family memeber, he slowly hopped out of the backseat of my car, they saw him and said,"So this is the dog you chosed, I thought you were going to bring home a mastif," this was they're scarcastic way of saying, they loved him.
Bio:
Apperently he was chained outside with his parents and his other siblings, along with horses, chicken, cats and other livestock. The previous owner was told he needed to give up some of his animals because he was over the limit, so he gave up Pirate then Neyo, his other siblings and two horses.

Today my mommy took me to a new dog park, it was sooo much fun and i met new friends. Then the surpise of the day was that she took me to dog beach too!!! I lovwe dog beach I got all nice and sandy and I went for a swim and played with a great dane too! Today was fun!

My mommy and I have sent tthhhrrreeeeee wonderful days together, it all started with Saturday, we woke up early and went for a walk around our awesome neighborhood, we walked for almost two hours, I had so much fun sniffing every tree and seeing all my doggie neighbors. Later that day we went to the dog park, the one in Oceanside, this is one of my favorite places to hang out with all of my play pals, but sometimes their mommies and daddies act a little weird there and my mom takes me home, but we stayed for a long time this time and I got all nice and muddy. After my mud bath she rinsed me off in front of everyone!!! she told me she didn't want her car to get gross, but she did give me a nice warm blanket to lay on in the car, before going home we stopped by one of my favorite pet stores and get this! She bought me a new bed!!!!!!! I wuv it!!!!!.The next day she took me to the dog park in the morning, but only for a little bit, then we laid on her bed and watched my favorite channel, Animal PLanet, later that day she took me to see my best friend in the world CHEWYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and me, chewy and my new friend Nikki went for a night walk in PB (pacific beach) and I got to see alot of interesting people, some of them barked at use, and I also noticed that my mommy and I have the same hair long and black! MAn I hope to do that again I like seeing the sights, smells and sounds of the weird people of PB. Now today we didn't do much but that's okay I love just curling up next to her on the couch, but tomorrow is the fun day we're going to a new dog park maybe even two, I can't wait for that I only hope that some of my friends will come with us, but either way I'll have fun with just mommy and me...
