Arrival Story:
When I was a puppy, I was turned out on the street with just a harness on by a human who did not want me. A kind Lady felt bad for me because I was so young that she took me in and let me stay in her yard until she could drop me off at PAWS in Philadelphia to be 'adopted out'. I was just under five months old by this time. When I arrived at PAWS, I was told I needed to have surgery to remove the harness that had grown into my skin under my arms. I was at PAWS for about three weeks by now. So, one Saturday I was just laying in my warn, dry kennel chilling when something magical happened. There were Lots of Humans visiting that day but I really wasn't in the mood to do the dog thing as I was not feeling all that well..my surgery was two weeks before and I was not in the best of shape. All of a Sudden, the Gate Keeper (you know, the guy who took my in and out of my room everyday) opened my door and asked me to come out...WTH...I thought..OK! It was like OMG, this lady was kneeling down, she was petting me, and checking me out...she said to me, "If you don't get along with my son, I'm sorry but I will not be able to take you home"...I just knew who her son was out of all the humans there, He had this Energy that pulled me to him so I went up to him and licked his whole face. I REALLY REALLY Instantly Loved This Guy..I was SOO excited, I was going back and forth to both of these two humans, and they were letting me Kiss them and they pet me and hugged me...just like I had Always Dreamed Of...This kind of Love was what was missing in my Life. ..I think the Lady was crying and telling me I was SOO Beautiful and she was So Sorry she could not take me home that day and "I PROMISE, WE BE BACK"! Well, I'm not sure what happened next but the Gate Keeper put me back in my room and these two humans left. I was very sad but I really needed to go back to sleep. Later that week I had to go to the Doctors to get spayed, finish taking my medicine and get a nice bath. I was feeling so much better. On the following Tuesday, THOSE HUMANS WERE BACK! Yeah! I was SOO excited I started to shake..I remembered The Guy's face, He was just as Happy as me, He could NOT Stop Smiling and neither could I. The Gate Keeper had put on my purple collar earlier but the Humans had a Brand New Collar and Leash that said "Harley Davidson" on it...HUMM! The Lady and the Guy took off the purple collar and put on this Brand New one telling me..."These are yours and your name is Harley. We are all going to your New Home now." Home, I thought, REALLY? HONEST? Wow, these Humans are MY HUMANS, MY Mommy and MY Daddy! I was so excited that I even forgot to say Good-Bye to my Dog Friends at PAWS and the Humans who took care of me. As we all started for the front door, I think we all ran out of there...hoping that No-One would change their minds. Me and Daddy Chris (I found out that this is his name) rode in the back of the car together...TO MY NEW HOME (WOW)! Daddy Chris Never Let Me Go...I WAS SAFE! When we did arrive at my new HOME, I met my other Daddy Joe...WOW! Waiting for me, they had two beds, a soft-material crate (not like the metal one I used too have) which I used as my hiding place, a dog house in the yard, a doggie door so I can go out in the yard, my VERY OWN food dishes and LOTS OF TOYS...At This Moment, I KNEW I HAD FINALLY FOUND MY FAMILY AND THAT I WILL ALWAYS BE LOVED AND GIVE THEM LOVE. I AM BLESSED.

Bio:
I still have scars under my chest where I was injured but My Humans don't make a big deal of it so I don't even notice.
