Arrival Story: We were outside one day and heard this pathetic sounding whining. We looked and on our next door neighbor's porch was this little thing just cryin at the door. We knocked on the door and asked if it was their dog (mind you this dog was maybe 6-7 weeks old) and, of course, they said "no" (yea right) so we took her in.
Bio: Not too long after we brought Lacey into our home, she was out runnin with the big dogs in the yard. My husband and I heard this horrible crying and we ran out and Lacey was just cryin. We took her to the vet and learned that she had fractured her leg. She got a purple cast and a cone and some pain meds and we brought her home. No surgery needed because she was still so small it'd heal on it's own. We put the cone on and it lasted all of about 5 mins. until we noticed how pitiful she looked in it and took it off. However, her injury didn't phase her one bit. We have this little cat tower/scratcher thing that has a little "house" on the bottom of it. Lacey would run up the the other dogs (mainly Auki) and he'd chase her and she'd run into the cat house, turn around and start barking. The other dogs couldn't get in there. LOL it was so funny. Now, only her head will fit in the cat house. She's a mess, but she's the sweetest, most loving (momma's girl) baby.
