Jake loves his toys. He has around 30 squeeky, rubber and tug of war toys which he never gets bored of!

Being woken up too early in the morning! And he is nervous if more than one dog runs up to greet him at once

He loves them all but his favourite is a huge squeeky chicken!

On the canal, but hes scared of water! He likes watching other dogs on canal boats.

He can bark when you say speak and balance anything on his nose!
Arrival Story:
My family previously owned an alsatian and a boarder collie, both of whom sadly passed away. We were too upset to get another dog for around 2 years, but I insisted that we all (my mum, dad and brother) went looking at dog homes because I was desperate for another dog!
One day in spring I convinced my mum and brother to take me to our local animal sanctuary to 'just have a look around and at the dogs'. When I first came across jakeys cage, he seemed to be the only one in his cage because he was sat at the front looking out and he was so tiny! However when I looked more closely there was about 10 other puppies all lying together at the back of the cage, they seemed to be completely uninterested in their surroundings, but jake seemed to want to be outside. I crouched down at the front of the cage to give him a fuss, and as I put my fingers through the cage he started playing tug of war with them!! I felt a strong bond with him straight away and knew I couldnt leave without him! Eventually, after ALOT of begging I managed to convince my mum the same, and my brother bought him as an early birthday present! (about 7 months early!) Later on as we were filling in forms etc we found out that Jakeys mum had been a pedigree lab, and its owners had bought it to breed other pedigree pups, so when she had the puppies of a alsation/collie cross they were very angry and through the puppies into the street, so we were lucky to get him!And I never stop appreiciating him! None of my family ever regret getting him, and although my dad was a little angry at first, he soon came round when Jake started showing his special personality.

Jakey got woken up early this morning because I had to be up for work, so he was a bit grumpy, and giving me some dirty looks from his bed!! However he got up when I called him and so got a reward for this huge effort (he hates mornings) by getting a good 15 minuite belly rub! And some toast! Whilst I was at work he got an hours walk down the canal with my mum followed by a 2 hour sleep and some playtime in the backgarden, with his big christmas bone he still hasnt eaten and chasing the birds off!
When I got home and sat down he came and balanced about 5 toys on my knee untill I played with him for a few hours, and then gave him lots of cuddles, so hes been pretty spoiled today!!
