Arrival Story: We recently adopted Prima from the Nike Animal Rescue Foundation (NARF). We first saw her in a NARF newsletter. We noticed her because she is the same mix as our first dog, Ace, who we also adoped from NARF. We had been wondering if Ace would enjoy a pal, and thought Prima would be a good match. We contacted her foster mom and arranged a visit. Ace and Prima seemed to get along well, so we took Prima for a "test drive" for a weekend. Everything worked out great, and we were very pleased we could give Prima a forever home. Prima became an official part of our family on November 28, 2004. Since then, she has joined Ace and the cats as the center of our lives, and we still couldn't be happier.

Bio: Prima is deaf. She understands some hand signals and is learning more all the time. It's a challenge to care for a deaf dog, but it is also very rewarding.
