Arrival Story:
Valentino's new parents renamed him Yaeger Meister.

Bio:
Valentino was found in Maryland by Animal Control. They found his owners but they didn't want him back! Val is such a sweet boy! He loves to play and has a lot of puppy in him. After the initial meeting, he is great friends with his foster sister. See, Val doesn't know how to greet other dogs nicely. His vocalizations and body language scare the other dog, but he's working on it. If the other dog can forgive him for his rude greeting, Val loves to play and be with other dogs. He is slowly learning how to greet dogs properly. He just doesn't know that his excitement and noises are upsetting the other dog. Val is a big boy and runs around, throwing his body all about while hooting and hollering to play with his foster sister. He likes to share bones and toys. Often he wants what his foster sister has, even if he has the same thing. He'll play bow her and talk to her to try to get her to give it up. Val will give into his foster sister easily when she tells him to back off. Being a big puppy, Val is a bit of an airhead. He really needs structure and lots of activity, both physical and mental stimulation. His new family will have a lot of patience. He's slowly, but surely, learning a lot in his foster home. Having a schedule seems to have helped him settle in more easily. When Val is very excited and playing around, he will sometimes put his teeth on the couch or the edge of the rug. A few times he has picked up a sock from the floor. Just tell him to drop it and he will in short time. Val really likes to chew bones, play tug of war with his foster sister, and destuff the stuffie toys to get to the squeaker. Val loves all people, but because he's so big, he should probably not go to a home with small children who would get knocked down easily. He's a bigger cuddler and loves to be cuddled by anyone - big men, small women, strangers or friends. Definitely no cats - he likes them too much. He also has intense interest in any small creatures, birds, squirrels, etc. and requires close attention when any are within sight. Will you be Val's new loving and patient home? He can't wait to give his fur-ever family all his gentle kisses, hugs and cuddles!
