Stick Dog

Quick Bio:

Pockets was a friend's dog. He's waiting at the bridge for his humans who said goodbye in early 2004 -- McDonald, Pockets “Stick Dog” - We regret to announce the passing of Pockets “Stick Dog” McDonald, esteemed dog of Rose and Jim. It occurred approx. 7 p.m., January 8, 2004 at Avonvale Vet Center, Warwickshire, UK, after a prolonged illness. Born in Lawrencetown, Nova Scotia, August 1994, he was a ripe 85 in German Shepherd Years. Having worked as a private security guard all his life he had recently retired to high security military bases in England to take up rabbit and badger hunting. A world-renown stick gatherer, other favorite activities included barbecues, playing croquet, walks in the park, especially with Grandma McDonald, swimming, gardening, snow-shovelling, mail-biting, car drives, wrestling with uncle Anthony, leaf-pile disturbing, and bee-eating. He is survived by his girlfriend Sascha Lascelle (mixed breed, England); other pooch pals Ginger (Berry-Evans, Halifax) and Cuddles, (Cape Breton); archrival cat Pumpkinfeathers (Halifax); grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was predeceased by canines Fonzy and Dutch (Cape Breton) and Cosmo (Halifax). Sincere thanks and big licks go to all recent and former caretakers as well as his personal assistants en route from Canada to England this year. In lieu of sticks, donations may be made to your local SPCA.
