Arrival Story:
I rescued Pepper from the local animal shelter in college. She was just 6 weeks old & the most adorable little dog I'd ever laid eyes on. Although she chewed up many of my roommate's textbooks & went through potty training while we were living in a 3rd floor apartment (not fun when you're up & down the stairs 10 times a day with her!), she has always been my little angel.

Bio:
Pepper is a mixed breed mutt. The vet's best guess is that she's part Boston Terrier & part Chihuahua. The animal shelter said Pepper's mom was a Chihuahua & due to her brindle color, the only dog feasibly small enough to breed with her mom would have been a Boston Terrier. Although she doesn't look much like either breed, you can see the Boston Terrier in her stocky body & the Chihuahua in her big bat ears! She recently acquired a step-brother when we adopted Ernie, a 7-year old Beagle. They get along very well, except we have to make sure Ernie doesn't eat all of Pepper's food! (she's a picky eater while he devours anything in sight).
