Patches Point of View

Party for Potty!

Mommy and daddy went to go watch a football game with some pals and sissy is left in charge of me. Well, I'm good on my own downstairs. I like to lay on the very edge of the guest bed with my head in the window sill and wait for mommy to come home. Sissy came downstairs a moment ago and she went outside to put food out for Luca and Simba. So hearing the door, I rush to the kitchen!

She came in and I got excited to see someone, so she scratched me and said hello. And then she asked if I wanted to go outside. I perked up at the word "outside". She said it again and I ran to the side door! So she let me out and I ran to do my business. She waited by the door and when I was done, I rushed to the door and she opened it. I came jumping in. I was excited! I wouldn't stop jumping and dancing! I was quite proud of myself. And she praised me lots as I bounded my way toward the kitchen to claim the prize I deserve.

Then she asked if I wanted a porkchop and I looked at her in awe. "Porkchop" means COOKIES! I ran to the kitchen, sat on the floor, and stared above the microwave at the pawprint jar. My porkchops are in that jar! She got the jar down and gave me some of my delicious HollyWood liver treats! Yay!

I love it when I know I've done something right! Don't you??

I was tagged to join in this game called What Kind of Ice Cream do I Look Like! Sounds silly huh?? Hmm... sissy thinks I look like vanilla with chocolate chips and cookie pieces! Mmm sounds good.... BOL! Now I'm supposed to tag 9 furiends but I think I'll tag 6, bend the rules just a bit heehee:

Pool Pooch

I can swim, I can swim! Mommy and sissy took me out by the pool today and slipped my pink lifejacket on. Then they start with taking me in the water and I kept jumping back out. Soon I'm getting the hang of it and instead of getting out, I sit on the top step. And then they get the squishy pool ball and mommy is playing with it, trying to get me to swim off the step and to her. And I did! I jumped off the step and swam to her and got the ball! I did it another time, too!

I got out after my second jump and we're thinking I'm done. I'm running around the pool's edge, being tempted by the big beach ball and the little squishy ball... and out of nowhere, a leaf--yes a leaf!--just falls from the giant oak tree and into the water. I'm standing there, staring at it as it floats. And then... BOOSH! I jump into the water! Mommy and sissy cheered and laughed as I swam to mommy with the leaf in my mouth.

Mommy was laughing... I jumped in because of a leaf! I ate half of it and they kept tossing it in the water and I'd swim after it. I had loads of fun! Then it was time to get out and mommy dried my off with my towel and we went inside. I'm actually liking this swimming!
