Smiling! I have never seen a dog smile all the time like he does. And hangin' out with his human "Dad" and his Uncle "Blue Blazes"
"Baby Girl" picking on him and taking his stuff, and he hates going in the car.
rawhides and getting the squeeker out of toys and stuffed animals (he likes to nurse on them)...lol
Whatever he can grub off of me, he sits just under where you are eating so he can catch whatever you drop
Playing in the backyard. But "BabyGirl" won't leave him alone, and pushes him all over and holds him down or runs over him.
Flipping his toys in the air and chasing them or laying on his back and rubbing his own chest with one of his front paws. He also likes to put his front paws on a big Milkbone biskit and surf/skateboard around the kitchen floor. It is just too cool!!!!!
He is a product of an artificial insemination. His mother is "Blue Fawn Angel". He happens to be a "spare" dog, as he was intended to be sold, but I was never able to find the right owners for him. He is very much loved and I am glad to have him share my home. He has one of the best dispositions in dogs that I have ever been around. He has a kind and very gentle nature and I wish him to be excepted for the great dog he turned out to be, instead of people wanting "a big, mean pit".
He got his name from the movie "Major Payne". When he was being delivered he was such a large pup that his mom had trouble passing him. It took both of my hands to hold him and the help of 2 other people to bring him into this world. When he was finally out and I was holding him, I couldn't believe how big he was and said "what a major pup this is, this is one major pit" !!!! and so he became "Major Payne". He is not a pain to me or has caused anyone any kind of pain. "Major Payne" is the brother/litter mate of "BabyGirl" aka "Cheri's Finally got her Angel" .
PS> Just a footnote here to add that my darling and beautiful "Major Payne" has been diagnosed this past year with "Discoid Lupus". The disease eats at his face and tends to cycle about every 4 wks. It started on his poor face, nose and eyes but now has covered the top of his head and down his back when he is having an episode. Then he gets sores and oozes, then they dry and his eyelids and nose peels for a few days, then it goes away for awhile. He has to take meds everyday to try and help him not break out as bad and can not be out in the sun. You can see what this disease is doing to him in one of the pics posted. The Lupus seems to be affecting the retinas in his eyes and now he has trouble seeing. To his credit he continues to smile and is always happy. It is a total shame that as lovely a dog as he is should have this happen to him. Please pray for him that he will be well. The entire "Cheripits" family Thanks you. May God bless your "kids in fur coats"!!!!!!
