Arrival Story:
After my two best friends Raffles and Callie went to the bridge, I had a hole in my heart. I waited awhile but just needed to add to the family to fill that void. Raffles was such a character that I was hoping to find another Boston again. No luck on a Boston rescue so I decided to find a puppy. I had just put a down payment on a puppy born the end of October (Quigley). Two days later Priscilla came into my life. So we are now a two Boston family. I picked Quigley up a month after Priscilla enriched my life. What a bundle of energy. It's going to be an interesting journey.

Bio:
Quigley came from a breeder in Friendship, Wisconsin.

Mom Says I Don't Know How Lucky I Am

What a beautiful day. The sun is shining on us and Mom is home all day.

Mom was cutting the grass out front and a car parked in front of the house had 3 cats in it. It's kind of a warm day and there was a litter box and food in the back and it was parked under a shady tree and the windows were partly open and Mom checked and it wasn't hot in there but it didn't look like there was much water in the bowl. The cats did not look like they were in distress but Mom was still concerned. This car had never parked here before. There was a woman cleaning up a yard across the street for someone so Mom thought she might be the owner of the car. Mom really doesn't like to interfere but when it's critters she does. It was the woman's car and she thanked Mom for coming to talk to her rather than calling someone on her. She said she was watching for when the sun came out. Mom told her she was just a little concerned because it didn't look like there was much water in the bowl. It turns out the woman didn't want to put too much water in the bowl because it might leak into the cage below with the guinea pig in there. Then she told Mom they were all living in the car right now. That is very sad.

Mom told us we should thank our lucky stars that we are well fed and looked after. It would be horrible living in a car. We will pray that their situation changes.

I Tangled With a Panther

Big excitement in the back yard tonight. There was a panther in the neighbors yard right on the other side of my fence. Well I sounded the alarm and that creature hissed at me but stood his ground. I was impressed that he dared stand up to me. Mom says my 18 pounds can be fierce. Then she starts laughing. You underestimate me woman. Well Mom says I was making way too much noise and she came and picked me up and took me in the house. How embarrassing. Would Hercules mother drag him into the house when he was defending his territory?

So I was ever vigilant watching the grounds from inside the house. Would you believe it, the creature was now on the overhang of the dog kennel attached to the garage. Then I got a good look at the "creature". It was black and white which raised a bit of a fear but I quickly surmised it wasn't a skunk. Just a sassy black and white cat from across the street. But, it could have been a panther.

What an adventure. I will surely sleep the sleep of the brave tonight.

This hero thing can be taxing, but the women (Priscilla and Mom) are safe.

There's been a sighting.

I almost missed it. I was just waking up form one of my maps today and I thought I was hallucinating. I saw a glare in the Southern sky. It was the sun. Only there for a brief time but Mom says he'll be back tomorrow.

Just wanted to thank everyone for all my hugs and balloons. Brightened up our days. You guys rock.
