Arrival Story:
Leah was found in a ditch with her 6 puppies by a rescue foundation. She was very thin and losing her hair due to malnutrition and her pups were sucking everything from this poor girl. When I met Leah and her pups, you could definitely tell her pups weren't going without but she needed much TLC (all her pups were adopted by the way). That's where I come in. It was love at first sight and I knew I couldn't leave without her. I had another dog at the time and her and Buddy got along great.

Bio:
Leah has been with us now for 4yrs. I just recently found out what kind of breed she is which helps in learning about the various traits she has. Unknowingly she came to me with skin allergies which has been a bit of a battle. Leah had zero training let alone knew how to walk on a leash. With much training and attention I have learned that she is extremely intelligent and loyal. Also she thinks she is a little dog trapped in a big dogs body meaning she is a 65lbs lap dog and the best cuddler ever!!!!! She is my shadow and watches everything I do. One thing I have noticed with her is she is sometimes too protective when other dogs come around me. This has been a constant task to learn to cope with this behaviour. She also has poor communication skills with other dogs. Leah takes everything very seriously and I'm unsure why. I try to socialize her at off leash parks but her negative body language still continues. My family loves her dearly and she truly is my best friend.
