Snow birds

Mom says we are now snow birds. I don't think I look like a bird, but I wouldn't mind eating one...yum! I caught a baby blue jay that fell out of it's nest and I didn't get a chance to play with him because he died. Too many feathers and not enough meat... maybe one of those seagulls I see at the beach would make a better meal! Anyway, we now have a new house. It's smaller than the house with the boats. It is warmer there and there's a big beach we get to run on. We have a nice yard and there is a lot to see. We have a big porch to hang out on and I like watching for intruders who get too close to the gate. I saw a sign in a neighbor's yard that said my dog can make it to the gate in 0.2 seconds, can you? and I think Mom should get one for us :)

adventures

Well, we just got back from an exciting adventure with Mom and Dad. We all got in the car and drove and drove and drove. We stopped and got to smell different places and I played with three different dogs. I had fun rolling on all the bedcovers at the different hotels we stayed in. One place had really good smelling perfumy sheets that I just couldn't get enough of!!! Mom said I was getting her pillow all wet and had to stop snuffing all over it. We finally stopped in this really warm place that smelled so different and it was exciting because there were all these great little creatures called lizards and I had fun trying to chase them! WE really had a nice day on the beach too, and the water was warm and I met another dog there too and we played in the waves.

bones

Today I got a new bone. I have been knawing away on it all day and when I need a rest, I have been keeping it under my head for safety. You never know when somebody's going to try to steal it...

scratches

I've been very scratchy since we have been home and the leaves truned colors and fell off. Mom thinks I might have allergies. She was complaining because everything she has that is leather (yum) is moldy and she thinks maybe I am allergic to the mold too, like she is. I have been taking Benedryl and some extra vitamins --thanks to one of my Pup Pals in NYC. I don't have any undercoat but I am not so itchy and I am not ripping apart my skin like I was. Mom is waiting a while longer, she says, before trying to stop the Benedryl. Hopefully, it's a seasonal thing that we can aviod by taking stuff before it gets bad.

updates

Summer was pretty good. We went sailing and stayed at a place called nantucket, where we got to run on the beach! and play in the water!! and roll on pretty-smelling horseshoe crabs!!! It was pure bliss! The salt water dried into my fur and made it easy ofr Mom to brush out the dead hairs... plus she said it made me smell clean and fresh. If Mom's happy, then it must be good. When we got home it was really WAY too hot to much so Phin and I slept for a few weeks! Mom got us up early so we could take our walks before the sun got too hot. Now it's cooler again! The leaves are falling from the sky again.. they smell great! We even have had a fire in the fireplace! Phineas loves that and I like it okay. I don't like the crackling sounds though so I don't get that close. The weather makes me feel like a pup again and Phin and I have been playing chase games and puppy slamming a lot.

high seas

well, we are soon to be off again on the sailboat. It isn't my favorite thing in the world, BUT we do get to be constantly with Mom and that's what makes me most happy! My float coat was a bit too puppy-sized, so Mom had to order a new one... (Mom says T. needs to lose some middle) Hey! Wait a minute!! I'm NOT fat! (I didn't say you were fat-- just a little...round) Round is CUTE!!! Round is pretty-- just look at my adoravble face... round cheeks!! See? Round is very sexy!

annual appointment

UGG. I have to go to the VET today.... I know she's going to give me a hard time about my belly. These humans think that I am a bit too round for my size... Well, I like to eat, give me a break! I can't help it if I'm vertically challenged. (sigh)

winter wonder

Yeay! It's snow again! I don't know why but something goes crazy inside me when I set foot in that stuff! My eyes galze over and my feet just can't stop moving!! It's SOOO much fun!! Phin thinks it's exciting because I don't always get up and move this fast, so he thinks it's great... at least the snow slows him down and I can actually catch him..heh heh! Ok, time for a nap and then back out again!!

new year

It has been another year in my life and I have to say that things are looking good! I have moved into a really nice new house and have lots of sunshiny, soft places to sleep. There are not a lot of intruders and the cats stayed on the other side of the yard, in our old apartment over the woodshop. So, it's just me and the big dope. Well, I do like that he's around, but he does get on my nerves sometimes!!

that time of the year...

We have been upstairs a lot and more humans have been coming into our house to be with our mom and dad. The good thing is, we do get to have some of the good food that mom has been cooking! I really don't like all these people coming over but the rewards are pretty tasty! Mom says that I have to be a nice girl... but I like biting feet... I have a hard time stopping!!
