Riding the Harley

pushy dogs, being brushed, taking a bath, top knots, being told no, not getting my way, sharing mommy

Favorite Toy:
stuffed dinosour that I've had since I was a baby, yellow monster that grandma got me for Christmas 3 years ago, and balls. He walks us to Petco and picks out toys and carries them to the counter himself!

Favorite Food:
strawberries, apples, blueberries, white rice, carrots, cucumbers and watermelon

Favorite Walk:
a three mile walk in the neighborhood I grew up in - but my favorite "walk" is the one in my kangaroo pouch being carried!

Best Tricks:
I love to smile!

Arrival Story:
I've always wanted a yorkie - ever since I was a kid. 6 years ago this beautiful boy became my baby and I've been in love ever since.

He is my only child and the light of my life. He really has his own personality and thinks he's the boss! He believes he is a big dog trapped in a little 6 pound body. He has no fear which means I've had to pull him out of several big dog's mouths...which seems to only be scary for me. He has more allergies than I could possibly ever imagine and a bad pancreas which is hard to deal with at times. He is the friendliest boy and loves people. I think he is the biggest biker I've ever met and was truely born to be a biker. He poses and smiles when you pull out a camera, throws temper tantrums when he is mad or doesn't get his way. Comforts me when I am sad or sick and feels it should be his way or the highway. He is the biggest brat - but also the cutest and I wouldn't have him any other way!

Forums Motto:
Baxter - live to ride, ride to live

My life!:
People tell mommy in their next life they want to come back as me!! I do have a dogs life. I was orignally raised by a cat. Ramsey was a 23 pound fluffy Siamese cat who was my best friend. Mommy made sure to tell him when I came home that I was his "new baby" because she was afraid he would eat me, I was only a pound & a half. At 6 months I hurt my knee and had to remain calm for 8 weeks...that is when I got to start riding the Harley! It has been love ever since. I have been on bike rides with hundreds of people, I have been on weekend bike trips, all day poker runs with bike clubs, last summer I went to Sturgis, and we take as many weekend bike rides as we can with grandpa. I think grandpa gets a kick out of everyone who wants to take my picture on the bike...I feel like such a movie star! I am very spoiled with many toys. Mommy babies me because I hurt my leg, I have allergies, and a bad pancreas...if I pretend to wimper or limp mommy picks me up ASAP and fusses over me right away-man I know how to sucker her. Grandma makes me lots of blankets and occasionally she lets me sneak off with the blankets she made for grandpa. I almost think that grandpa and gradma have come to terms that I am their grandchild!

Last night I met cousin Chloe. She is a 2 month old yellow lab. Usually I'm not big into puppies because they are always so hyper. However, Chloe spent the time following me around and I think trying to figure out what exactly was I? I wasn't the cat and I wasn't the big dogs she use to being around. It is rare when other furs don't understand what I am exactly.

It has been a long week for me!

Well I finally got taken to the vet for my eye allergies since my eye didn't seem to be getting better. The vet put drops in my eye and looked at it with his UV light. He said I had an ulcer because I must have scratched my eye. It was horrible...for the past 5 days I had to wear a cone and have this horrible ointment put on my eyeball twice a day. I was so happy when mommy took me back to the vet for a recheck and the vet said all better and no more ointment or cone!!! Oh yes and I started speaking to mommy again after the cone was removed.

What a month

So a month since our last bike ride, what is the problem?!?! Mommy has been working a lot, I think she is putting in too many hours. But she always mentions something about happy to have a job. In the middle of it all her mama passed away so she spent her free time at the hospital. My allergies have been acting up and there has been mention about the doctor but hopefully that won't happen. The days have been so pretty that I sure hope we make it out for a ride soon. I did meet two new girls while out on a walk today. They fussed over me and told me how cute I was. I always enjoy lots of new attention!
