I'm not blue....

I'm a human, maybe a dog.. but not a "snowbird".....

soooo Mommies Daddy called her one day last winter while we were out walking and it was really cold. I think that day it was in the negatives with the windchill.. so when her Daddy heard her teeth chattering he asked where she was at... "just out walking Blue" but PaPa (mommies daddy) said he wished that I was in Arizona with them where it was warm... so this winter Papa asked my Mommy if I could go with them for 3 of the 6 months that NaNa and PaPa will be out in Arizona being snowbirds... NaNa and PaPa are humans, so I really don't get this snowbird thing.. but whatever... but anyway I just love PaPa, he always gives me plenty of food off the table, and treats, and walks me every hour, so we have a good time... so Mommy said it was okay and packed this HUGE bag for me full of stuff. Driving down to Arizona was a looooonnng ride.. 3 days in the car, but I had fun looking out the window and barking at things along the way. I got to sit on NaNa's lap for most of the ride, so I had a nice warm place in the sun. Anyway.. we finally got down to Arizona the first week of January and it was the same tempature as it was at home in Chicago! I was totally confused, but NaNa kept giving me a ton of greenies so I didn't care!! Mommy, Daddy, Dylan, Auntie Wendy, Leif, and Sam all came to visit me here for a week so that was fun.. Mommy and Daddy left for 3 days to go visit Daddies parents, but that's okay because I still had the boys here to keep me company.. anyway... NaNa has been having so much fun with me that she is going to buy a chihuahua when Princess their dog dies. Princess is a bigger dog and she's already 14 and having some problems, so they think this will be her last winter here in Arizona. It's sad, but she's lived a long full HAPPY dog life. But I'm pretty excited to be getting a new chihuahua to play with! who-hoo... anyway.. we're driving back to Chicago on March 26th so I'll be back sleeping with my Mommy and Daddy in no time!!
