Snow!

Yesterday I went to the snow for the first time. It was crazy! I sank to my chest. It was very hard to get around. I had to hop like a bunny. That didn't deter me from having fun. I bounded around after my border collie mix friend Trixie. She loves the snow. It was so tiring though. It wasn't long before I was exhausted. I think I'll sleep for a week!

Wags for Wishes

Last month, I went to Wags for Wishes. It's the west coast's superest dog show, raising money for the Make a Wish Foundation. I entered my first flyball tournament! I thought I was just going to do warm ups, but I did so good that they let me race two whole races. Everyone was cheering for me, I did all my runs perfectly. While my team didn't win those races, everyone was amazed by my running. Insideflyball.com online magazine made me AUGUST FLYBALL DOG OF THE MONTH! My mom is so proud of me. I've been practicing real hard since then for my next tournament this month. I can't wait!

I'll be a Flyball Dog in no time!

Yesterday I did my first whole flyball run. I ran over all 4 jumps, did a nice box and got the ball, then came over all four jumps again. That was without any props! Everyone was so impressed! Our club leader says I should be competing next year. I can't wait until the first time I beat a four legged dog!

I Got a Boo-Boo!

Last week I was being a maniac in the yard like normal. Then something happened and I noticed my (only) front leg was hurting! I just sat there not knowing what to do. Everytime I tried to walk it hurt and I'd fall right on my chin. So I just kept sitting there and occasionally whining until mom noticed. She carried me to the couch and made me relax for a while. But a couple hours later I still couldn't put weight on it, so she brought me to the doctor. Nothing was swollen and the x-rays didn't show any breaks. So home I went with some Carprofen. The next day I could put a little weight on it and hop around if I needed to. But the day after that, I was back to running around like a maniac. Mom kept trying to make me stay quiet but that didn't work well. Everyone's baffled about what I could have done that left me completely crippled for a whole day, and totally fine 3 days later. Must be my Pit Bull heritage.

What could be better than 2 ferrets?

A new kitten and 2 ferrets! Mom brought home a mini-kitty! The thing looks like a ferret and the two ferrets and that cat just go nuts together. It's almost more than I can handle! I've gotten hissed at several times, but I'm determined to make friends with this little thing.

A trip to Grandma's

Yesterday I got to meet Grandma and some other relatives. They all liked me, especially Grandma herself. Somehow I just knew not to jump on her, she is frail. But I made sure to jump on everyone else! The cool thing was that my bro and sis got left behind at home. It was all me! Grandma even got me this huge candy cane filled with Milk Bones. I'm supposed to share, you know how that is. Today I am at my mom's moms house where Sophie the whippet lives (see my friends). I love it because there's a whole new set of toys to play with. Sophie doesn't mind that I squeak them, but she hates it when my sis Nitro destroys them. Ha-ha, my bro Photon just got in trouble for standing in front of the TV again. He's always in trouble for that.

Flyball!

2 days ago I got to go to my first flyball practice! I played fetch, tug, and even met "The Box". I didn't think it was scary at all, even when it made that bang noise. Everyone was very impressed. The coach did some research and found out that I probably would be allowed to enter tournaments, and there are a few other 3-leggers out there doing flyball. Hurray! Now I can be like my big sis Nitro, she's a flyball champion. But mom says I can't jump until I'm a year old, something about growth plates closing. I can't wait.
