My Big Day

Well, I am so cute. They say I may be part Dauchshund because I am long and low, and maybe part bassett because my toes point out. Mama thinks not basset but CORGI, because my ears do this cute thing. One points out and one lays down. I'm too little to be bassett.

Whatever! I am adorable is what I am, and I don't let anyone forget it, either.

Now, for my story......

So, I was in this place with lots of other doggies. I had another doggie in my kennel that was short like me. They said the other doggie was a purebred Corgi. I just know that it was a young and jumpy doggie, kinda got on my nerves.

A lady came to see us doggies one day and she was letting doggies out of kennels, they would go away with her then come back all thirsty and tired. And she would get another one out, go away, come back, and so on. Finally she came to me & my kennelmate. AH HA! We were going outside to pee, poo, & play! Before it was time for me to go in, I heard the lady talking about "that one" and pointing at me. The other ladies she was talking to looked my way, one looked sad and the other shook her head. The lady that took me outside looked surprised. hhhhmmmm - so I went over to see what was going on. A man joined the ladies. Next thing I knew, they had me picked up in the air, turned on my back and were looking at my belly!

I went back to my kennel with my kennelmate for bedtime. I don't remember much after that. The next morning, a lady came and took me to a funny smelling place, and I slept there for a long time. When I woke up, I felt funny. And my belly hurt.

And there was that lady from yesterday that had taken me outside. She had a leash on my neck and was trying to get me to go with her! NOT EVEN! NOT until I FIND OUT WHAT IS GOING ON!!!!

Let the snapping begin!!!!!!

I snarled and snapped and growled and showed everybody my biting teeth.

How'd that work for me, you ask? NOT TOO GOOD.

Some one threw a towel over my head, picked me up and put me in a truck with THAT LADY!
