Arrival Story:
We were visiting a local pet store one day. I had no intentions of getting a puppy from a pet store. I was thinking of going through a reputable breeder which is the right way. But, I always feel so bad for these puppies in the pet stores, and I like to visit from time to time to play with them and give them some needed attention. Well, when we walked in, my boyfriend and his sister spotted Kodi right away. He was just a little ball of white fluff back then. He looked like a baby polar bear! I saw that my boyfriend picked him up and wouldn't put him down. I knew right then what he was thinking. We took Kodi into a room to play with him. He was so different back then...lol. He was quiet, shy, and calm, but still very sweet. We fell in love right there and decided we had to bring him home. Unfortunately we were first told that we could take him and then seconds later told that he was not well and needed to see the vet first for the OK. Now see how pet stores are not the way to go?? How could they have done that to us? I thought that we would never see Kodi again and that something was terribly wrong with him and he would be put down. It was total heart break. We did give them our number and asked to be called right away if Kodi turned out to be fine. I couldn't stop thinking about him. I prayed that they would call. Well, they did! It turned out that Kodi just had worms causing his tummy to be upset. These and other things are big problems in pet stores! We went back that evening to pick up our lil baby and our lives haven't been the same since! The good thing is that Kodi came from a breeder and not a puppy mill. When we first brought Kodi home, he looked like a lil orphan with bad tear staining, etc. Now, he is just gorgeous! He's so beautiful and healthy. Kodi is a mini...we shall see about that actually...lol. He is the fox type of Eskie. He looks like an arctic fox or even an arctic wolf. We just couldn't be more in love with him! There is nothing like an Eskie!
