Kismet has reached 6.7 kgs at 10 weeks. She was the biggest pup born in the litter but the other pups were more pushy and she gradually ended up the smallest by the times the pups were placed in their new homes.I think as she is the quiet, docile one she maybe didnt fight hard enough for her share ,or else she is just destined to be a small sheepdog. She looks amazed when she gets a whole dish of food to herself and shares food happily with her adopted sister mini labradoodle Summer so they get fed seperately as Summer would eat all day and never leave any for Kissy.
Kissy is a quiet well behaved totally NON psycho pup, unlike Summer who at 16 months is still a wild ,barky, jumpy, annoying ball of fur, though training is kicking in.SLOWLY.
Kissy loves to be inside in the air conditioning during this long hot Australian Summer. She is almost
housetrained,yay.
She eats puppy chow with a little meat added for taste, chicken,or tuna, and plain yoghurt.
She tends to "dig" in her waterbowl before drinking so splashes it everywhere then sits contentedly in the puddle.
Kissy has slept all night in her crate since we got her, never wakes or cries in the night. This is such a refreshing change as Summer did this for months and has never settled at night without a fight, she has to have her crate fully covered and still quietly "woofs" and snorts and moves into a different position a hundred times a night. We would let Summer sleep outside only she barks at everything that moves or thinks about moving and there are toads here at night, poisonous, but apparently appealing to dogs.
They used to play together well and just do non aggressive play fights but Summer has raised it up a few notches and is leaving bite marks on Kissy so now they are seperated and have their own yards and Kissy is mainly inside and Summer mainly outside, during the day.Kissy misses playing with Summer but Summer needs to learn to stop biting her and stop being so rough.Siblings!
