he's good at all of the tricks he knows. My favorite is he knows his right paw from his left when you ask him to shake.
Arrival Story:
Cooper was a rescue. I found him on Petfinder.com. He had been picked up as a stray and was at an animal control shelter in Grand Junction, CO. I had been looking for a Beardie, and as soon as I saw his picture on line, I knew I had to adopt him. He was so cute and goofy looking with his shaggy head and the rest of his body all shaved and skinny. My mom and I drove five hours to pick him up at the shelter. He was so skinny and sick. He weighed only 35 lbs, was limping, had a fractured tooth, had a bad sinus infection, and needed to be neutered and vaccinated. Poor Cooper! But I took him to the vet and with a little TLC (and a couple of surguries) he got better every day. Now he's happy, healthy, and one of the great joys of my life (my husband being the other one). :-)
Bio:
We don't know exactly how old Cooper is. The vet estimated that he was anywhere from two to five years old when I got him. I chose three. His birthday is really his "gotcha" day.
Cooper is very sweet boy. He's very laid back and loves to cuddle, but he can also be very energetic when it's time for a walk or agility. He is very smart and responds well to positive reinforcement. But he does not like it when anyone corrects him in an angry voice. It scares him.
