 Quick Bio:
 Birthday: December 2nd 2006
Likes: Sleeping in bed with us, HUNTING LIZARDS!, swimming in the canal behind our house, burying expensive bones his Mommy buys him, barking at animals in the woods, and riding in the van!

Pet-Peeves: Skunks, squirrels, not being with his 'pack'

Favorite Toy: Any stuffed animal, Mommy's shoes (and ONLY Mommy's shoes!), a gigantic bone and any potted plant

Favorite Food: Cheeseburgers, HOT DOGS!!!, Mommy's well-done pancakes on a Saturday morning, and Beggin Strips!

Favorite Walk: Running! LET'S RUN! RUN, RUN, RUN! He loves to run loose on our 3 acres!

Best Tricks: He offers his paw, wiggles, rests his head on your knee and melts your heart.

Arrival Story: Oh this is a wonderful story!!! My friend and coworker Bibi told me about a dog that was at the shelter waiting to be adopted. It turns out our Petey has much in common with Dale's first pit bull named, appropriately, Pete. (The first Pete has gone to Doggie Heaven.) Petey's Aunt Bibi paid for his adoption fee and Petey is now our "baby". We will always be grateful to Aunt Bibi and Uncle Frank for giving us our dearest family friend. Our family has never had a dog because my son has an allergy to dogs. However, he can pet Petey without breaking out so it was definitely meant to be. Petey is the light of our family life. We love him so much!

Bio: Petey was adopted from the local shelter. However, the first part of his life was filled with neglect and abuse. :( He came from a place masquerading as a dog shelter but they abused and starved dogs.
Petey is very loving and gentle. He has had a tough life until now but we're going to do our best to make it up to him.

My pack leader gave me a bath, took me for a long walk and gave me a BIG dinner! I'm happy! I love my family. They are so grateful that I rescued them.

Hello Pup Pals! My Mommy was sad because she wrote about my sister, Punkin, today. I know Mommy misses Punkin. I tried real hard to be a good doggy and show Punkin how to be a good doggy, too. Punkin just didn't seem to understand and I still feel sorta responsible that she couldn't be in a pack.
I still have a bump on my right leg that I will always have because of the wound that Punkin gave me. It is okay because it doesn't hurt now. I learned a lot of lessons from that fight with Punkin.
Mommy said that she and Daddy are only going to save ONE PIT BULL at a time. It makes me proud that I'm the first one! :) I know that Mommy and Daddy will continue to rescue one pit bull at a time after I go join Punkin at the Rainbow Bridge. It will be fun to play with her again.
I have returned to my "wiggly, happy self" so Mommy says! I appreciate my family more than ever now. I'm a good boy!
My human, Eric, is going to be graduating high school next month. *Stops to scratch ear* I'm not sure what that means but it causes a lot of excitement.
I still like to watch the Cesar Human on Friday nights with my pack. SQUIRREL!!!! Oh, nevermind. The squirrels are frightened of my hunting prowess and run away. :)
So, I wanted to say hello and tell you all that I am happy again. I like being the 'only dog'. I like attention from my Humans. They are good Humans. See you soon!

I think I wasn't a good boy last week.
I got in a fight with Punkin and now she is gone. I don't understand where she went. It wasn't that she and I meant to be bad. I still miss her. :(
*Sighs heavily and lays his head on his paws* You see, my Humans don't know what I went through before they adopted me from the shelter. I was at a very bad place that was called a 'rescue' but where they were mean to us, neglected us and withheld food from us. :( A lot of my friends and I were saved from there by the policemen who came in one day. I can't really speak dog to my Humans so I can't tell them all that happened. I just don't feel comfortable living with other dogs.
I love my Humans very much. Gosh, they are my whole world! I wouldn't hurt them for the world and I want to make them happy. That is the only reason I exist.
I feel badly that my Mommy is sad. I also feel kinda guilty, but it is a relief to have all the attention on me again. I like how nice they have been to me about my injuries. They took me to the vet last week. Like all our Humans do, they try to smash or hide the medicine in food. I let them think I don't know about it and take my medicine anyway. *Winks*
They are being so good to me after I have not been a good dog. They are taking good care of my leg, giving me lots of love and helping me with the stairs when I need it. I'm getting lots of rest and like to be with my Humans while I rest my leg.
My Mommy had a long talk with me and told me that there aren't 'good dogs' or 'bad dogs'. That there are just 'dogs'. She said she still loves me just as much and I gave her licks on her face to tell her 'thank you' in a way she would understand. I'm going to be working with a trainer because Mommy thinks I might be bored, too. I'll do whatever they want me to do because all I want is to make them happy.
Hopefully, I've been a good enough boy this past year to get a present from a man the children call 'Santa'. They hung up a stocking for me over the fireplace and say that I'll get 'treats and toys' on Christmas Day. Whenever my Humans mention 'God' or 'Jesus' Birthday', I know exactly Who they mean. You see, my Humans have to have God explained to them. We dogs know instinctively who He is. He created us. He is the one who sent us here to teach the Humans about unconditional love. :)
Still, I hope I'll get treats from Santa, too! :)
Love,
Petey
