Exercise--walks, playing with other dogs
Being told what she cannot do.
Our other dog, Sparky
Anything edible, including Sparky's food, the cats' food, etc.
She sits on command, we're working on others.
On our neighborhood walk, we saw a sign advertising a "Transylvanian Hound Puppy" for sale in early October. Thinking it was a Halloween joke, we Googled the breed and were fascinated by what we saw and learned! Hannah is now ours, but her origins remain a real mystery, as her former owners have not provided any info or documentation of her origin. We are very fortunate, however, that the only U.S. breeders we could find, Andy and Kristen Sulonen of Foxpaw Farms, came by and saw Hannah. She mystified them too, since while she appears to be all -Transylvanian, they also had no idea where she might have come from.
Hannah had bounced around among three owners before we got her, so she was very nervous. Under my wife Maria's loving care, she has settled down, relaxed and is a contented, happy hound. She is a wonderful dog, with a strong personality and great intelligence. She loves to play with our older dog Sparky and our friends' dogs.
Hannah was 23 pounds when we got her at 10 weeks old; she is now 34 pounds at just over 4 months old. We have not yet addressed the question of whether she should have pups.
