When I was little, my grandpa worked as an electrician in Bass Pro in Springfield, Missouri. We got to go there one day for a free family day. There was a man selling puppies in a shopping cart, and my grandmother absolutley adored them. She asked my grandfather, and about half an hour of thinking lead us to a new cutsie wootsie little puppy. Since they were only one week old, their eyes were still closed tightly, except for one little runt in the back. I was told to pick a puppy, though I was only five. I had noticed that all the others had black backs, but Angel did not. She had a small white patch, shaped like a crucifix. I immediatley chose Angel, and we were told that that Saturday, we would have our puppy. He put Angel aside so no one could claim her. That Saturday, we went to the man's farm and saw the newborn dogs and their mother. I didn't know her name, but then I saw Red, her father. Without words, I finally knew that she belonged with us and that I would never forget that moment, ever.
