Arrival Story:
My boyfriend had been wanting a dog or puppy since we first moved in together. At first, I was against the idea, since I'm in school and know the work required for a puppy. But after visiting some local shelters just to look, I was sold. I browsed Craigslist for a few weeks, and came across an ad for two oops puppies needing homes. I e-mailed the poster and once I saw Sheeba's adorable picture, I knew she was going to be ours. We picked her up that weekend and it's been love ever since!
Bio:
Sheeba's mother is a Shiba Inu, mixed with.. something we aren't sure of, but I'm thinking lab. Her father is a "Husky mix" but the general consensus from everyone she meets is that she's an Aussie mix, bol, and since we didn't see the father I am convinced more and more she might not have any Husky at all! She was the biggest of a litter of three and already as big as her mom when we picked her up.

Bruce is here! I love it! We love sniffing around outside on our potty breaks. We love to wrestle in the middle of the living room and in front of the TV :P We love to sleep together on the bed!! This is so exciting!

GUESS WHAT EVERYPUP?!
I heard mommy and daddy talking with my grandma last night (daddy's mom), and she feels really bad about Bruce having to live in a one-bedroom apartment now because of a thing called a divorce that's going on right now. Poor Bruce doesn't get as much attention as he used to with his mommy at work and brother going to school and working all the time, and my daddy not living at home anymore. When I leave to go back home with mommy and daddy, Bruce gets really sad because he has no one to play with, and his daddy doesn't want him because his black fur will be too messy on the white carpet of his new house, and he'd be stuck in the sun room all the time. :(
Well grandma started talking about giving Brucey away to a lady she works with!! Mommy and daddy said UH-UH, he's coming with us and staying in the family!!!!! So after Thanksgiving is grandma doesn't change her mind, Bruce will be going back home with us!!!!!
Mommy is as excited as I am, because she thinks Bruce will help calm me down around the apartment when I think I need to protect mommy and daddy. She thinks if I see Bruce being friendly with everybody, that I'll learn I don't need to protect anymore. I also don't pull on the leash as much when Bruce walks with us. And finally, mommy thinks Bruce would make a really good dog to do Rally with because he is so mellow and obedient.

I turn one year old today!!!! Mommy says she just can't believe how long I've been with her and daddy. It's been the best 9 months EVER. I wonder how my brother and sister are doing.
Don't tell mommy, but I heard her telling daddy what I'm getting for my birthday! I'm getting my first yummy taste of doggy ice cream, and a big meaty bone! I've never had one before though, so mommy is going to have to ask for help on picking one out. She wants me to have the best and safest 1st birthday ever.
And then she's going to take lots of pictures, so she can send them to the lady that I lived with before mommy and daddy took me. She's very thankful that the lady let me go home with them, since they're still young and mommy was a little worried no one would trust a 19- and 20-year-old with a new puppy.
