Arrival Story:
We adopted Cassie from Willing Heart Dalmatian Rescue July 3,2000.After we decided to get another dog. We drove 3 State lines to adopt her. She was app 1.5 years old.She survived being a stray on the streets of NY City was hit by a truck and left for dead. Some nice people rescued her and shipped her to Willing Hearts Dalmatian Rescue. There they spent money to save her badly broken front leg ,that was slated to be amputated! Lifting the baby gates to steal cat food. She can make herself flat enough to slide under the gate, then she eats the food and cry because she can't get out. and CHEWeeZ Strips bu Purina. She would love to eat the box of rawhides in one sitting

Bio:
A year after we adopted Cassie she began to have Grand Mal Seizures. They are under control with medication. She still has them, but less often now. She is trying a new seizure medication because her medication is now damaging her liver. I am on dog channel profile number 41583 *** Cassie does have two different colored eyes Right eye blue and left eye black. We feel one is her Angel side and the other is the side that gets her into TROUBLE!! Sadly Cassie went into Congestive heart Failure and respiratory distress during the early hours of July 15. After trying medications we decided to end her suffering. Her last night with us was a tragic struggle to breath. I held her in my arms after giving her oral doses of Lasix.
