hmm..not very many - not being able to go in the car, me not home, if he had more he never showed them! gracious boy.

Favorite Toy:
any stuffed toy or butcher knuckle bones from grandma - loved to lick the marrow, and a golden star toy i got for him as he will alwasy be my star.

Favorite Food:

Favorite Walk:
WIth their best buddy Elmer & yrs ago Buddy & Louie around the property and when younger, with Mason and grandma in the cornfields - she would give him and mason stalks of corn to bring home! he would wait on top of dining room table for Elmer to arrive!

Best Tricks:
Jake -getting out of the invisible fence and having adventures in many adjacent neighborhoods with Louie!! Knew all the police and neighbors! Even did this 5 days before he passed! True spirit for life they both had truly gentle souls- Jakie & Mason.

Arrival Story:
Jakie passed on to heaven on halloween of this year...Mason Lee- my chocolate baby ...born 8-23-94, passed on 9-17-2004. They were the best of buds and pals.. so it seemed so appropriate for them to share a profile here & for eternity. Such precious and gentle souls. My heart forever will ache w the pain from their loss, but the memories are priceless & I wouldn't chage a thing! Mason being the older brother, helped me too many times to count, driving around looking for jake, who loved to check out the neighborhoods! Mason was the best older brother, and Jake alwasy licked his back as they cuddled everyday, especially on the porch or grass for their "sun bath!" Jake adored Mason, and Mason . my chocolate baby, loved& cherished his younger more needy ( ha) labby brother; precious Jakeamus, our angel pie. Mason had a deep bark, scared many a UPS man!, but was the most gentle, even a fork falling from the dishwasher scared Macie. He was so trustworthy and genuine a labby ever - never growled once in his entire life or showed any neagativity whatsoever. He never did learn how to lift his leg ( ha) but his pure sweetness was witnessed by all who knew him, and no one loved him more than his mommy and jake! He was also cherished deeply by Grandma, Christina, Eddie & Pat and Mike..He would hop up and down when mom came home, and was a big licker too! He loved to go in grandma's fountain and on runs w mom when she could run! He never needed a leash, as he was always right by mom's side ( unlike Jakie who like many 2nd children - strayed frm the straight and narrow). They complimented one another so beautifully, and words can't express how many lives they touched, and how deeply they are both missed every day. Mom still says good night to us after she turns out her light, and has done this since Mason passed in 2004. Ahh..sad to write this as iI relive the Mason and Jake days...forever etched in my memories ..12 and a half years of amazing events! When Jake had to be put down on 10-31-09, i told him," U can go and play w Mason and my moms Damation, Buddy, now...you are free and i loved you w every ouce of my being and will do so forever..even now they are 2gether ...and watching me and my new family of loves. There is a part deep in the core of my heart that forever belongs to them -this is an edit, 5-9-09, and the tears are rolling. I'd love to come back in my next life as one of my doggies! They deserve eveything we can give then, and then when it is their time, we as their beloved owners know, and gather the courage to say " see you soon, my love", as we do what is necessaray to complete the quality of care they have been provided with their entire life...it is the most selfless gift one can give..but THE most painful. But I have always promised all of my dear doggies, when it is their X to cross the rainbow bridge, if it doesnt' occur naturally, I can see it in their eyes as their pillar of strength and one who is with them most hours of every day of their life...continue w the top notch care until reasonable attempts fail, and they join the millions of other cherised doggies and animals ..over the bridge where there is a release from whatever they are ailing from and a release from a diminished quality of life. That is the most important thing - the passing over the brige many times, ends up in our hands, which is terrifying, and WE MUST DO what we all know we need to do is to put ourselves in their "PAWS". The loss and hole in the center of my heart is Jake's & Mason'r fuurrever...my new precious loves who are both semi-adopted - Mac Jakeamsu and Mr. Vito Corleone, spent 3 months together before i first got Mac J @ 4 months and 3 weeks, and Vito 2 months later - what a beautiful reunion - they rememberd one another immediately! Vito first....as he is older - turned a year 4-10-09, I got him @ 10 months, and Mac quickly follwed as he realized ," Hey little ( not so little 6.2 lbs) black and tan and little white sweetest sweeteest chihuahua in the world. Watchinng them play fight is amazing as Mac is so gentle mouthing him, and Mr. Vito is no slouch! HE grabs Mac's lower lip and you should hear the "dying cat" noises he makes. They are just so precious 2gether - it is truly a site and a sound! More later always ...Love and licks...ALways ..All of us especailly Mason Lee & Mac Jakeamus!!XOXOXOXOXOXOXO he was a therapy dog and the love of my life he had a grade one easy removal mast cell at age 8 and grade 2 at age 10 which required oral chemo he did great and i had him another 2 years and then his nail came out and he had melanoma in his nailbed and had his digit amptated and was back to his old jakie ways in aobut 9 days and was great until october when he became anemic and tarry stools GI bleed, clear ultrasound and he had a transfusion and a half but was too weak and it was time..his eyes told me so.. i love him sooo more than words can express he is a part of my being and other doggies will get all my love and get in my heart but he is the core and dogs can get in and around and on top but not in that special jakeamus spot i can barely type this thank you for reading about my precious boy my beauty my angel

Jake's grandfather was the dog from the movie fatal attraction! he liked to get up and lay on the dining room table and even sleep there!! he would sleep upside down and roll and stay upside down and wag his tail the whole time a definite hambone and i want to come back as him or any of my dogs in my next life..he is a precious and gentle soul and loved and touched many..Mason quietly allowed him to take center stage and he learned many many tricks from his younger brother, and they cuddled and adored each other so very much - precious to watch them 2gether! Jake taught mason how to get up on the dining room table - but not down -and a very large shaky chocolate baby was on mom's dining room table on more than one occasion when she walked in the door! Mason was one in a million and wagged his tail right up until his last breath - god i loved them both with everything I am made of - emotionally, cognitively, affectively and spriritualy. They were a pair never to be forgotten and always remembered, and not just by family! lab love is a precious and one of a kind love - and all lab owners know what i mean! and 2 labs who loved each other so much ! we were all blesed for many years.. got over 20 cards 2 flowers a plant..the support and how many others knew his unique way about his his jakeness helps a lot...He so missed his brother, Mason when he passed - so y sister's Cavalier King Charles - Louie ( see pictures ) came to live with with us for 3 and a half years....All my boys are precious treasuresa and I cherish each and every one of them and will forever and ever, amen!
