Louie has a new friend, Jake. Today after Larry did the snowblowing...and may I say we only have 12" on the ground now with more coming, Louie had a romp. First they did a tour round the block and then Larry checked with neighbor Doug, and he let Jake into their backyard which butts up to our lot. Louie and Jake met "through the fence" for the first time. Very much tail waggin' went on. So for over a half hour they ran up and down the fence line, and in Louie's case, around the pine trees. Louie was "excellent" off leash and very obedient to dad's commands. We have a few pictures of his snowy coat. Now (1:30 p.m. Sat.) he's curled up on the sofa and almost "snoring" he's so pooped. Socializing is just sooooo tiring.
After naptime he's getting a good brushing. I washed the dog bedding this a.m. and yesterday he had his ears cleaned and teeth brushed.
Too snowy to go anywhere so we're watching the MSU-Kansas game and then a Netflix. Plans for Tuesday this next week include a visit to my friend Jeannine's, where he's meeting the two Aussies...Fuzzy and Ariel.
Snow On!

Hi,
Today we are at home and hoping for a walk before snowfall.
Yesterday I had some good walks and Sandy came home from Pet Smart with two bags of treats. Some salmon ones I haven't gotten to try and Charlie Bears. She had to go to town to get her friend a birthday gift, a sillpat, and then did a little Christmas discount shopping.
Later she went to swim, but Larry came home and took me for a good walk. I'm really wondering if I'll meet that Golden Retrievor next door. He's been barking alot, to get into his house when the owner puts him out for his business. I now have another stuffed chewy,
a dark blue lizard with a very long tail. It is intact, so far.
We practiced finding money, only once, but I did with Larry's help. It's really tough to do.
So I'm going to take a nap now, and then sniff out the basement while Sandy puts things away.
Have fun in Thailand. I don't think I will be able to find anyone to "crack my toes" here.
Love, Louie

Today Louie traveled almost 400 miles to reach Potterville, Michigan. We had two stops, one for breakfast in Rockford, Ill. and a second for soda at Porter, Indianna. Both Larry and Sandy drove.
Most of the time, Louie slept in the backseat, although once in awhile he'd look around. There was alot of looking when he arrived at 4798 Sunset Drive. A trip to the basement did not yield Mitch or Leah.
Home cage is set up in the bedroom. Dad went for two walks with Louie. No dog friends were out. Tis cold, sunny and an ice storm is predicted. Much sleeping on the couch after that long ride. Unpacking was uneventful.Tomorrow, a trip to the grocery store, and some laundry.
Louie's secretary,
Sandy
