Lots of stuff to catch up on, but we don't have time to write much. You'd think it was Spring times around here already cuz mom's been hauling out lotsa stuff either giving it away or chucking it in the garbage can! OMD! She even threw out a couple of our old toys cuz they had some strings hanging on 'em. Jiffy wufs to remove tags from all the toys and he shredded the rope to the point mom say it's dangerous fur us to play with now cuz we might eat the strings.

It's been a cold winter. Today was a good sunny day, but now the temps dropped again and it will rain tonight...more winter weather up until the weekend. We hopes the weekend comes fast! We wufs to be out in the sunshine. At least we gots to enjoy it today...even Jiffy was laying out on the concrete by the pool just like Sheba used to do. Mom say she needs to take a trip to the pet store to get us some more bully sticks cuz we are out. She gotta look fur place online to have them delivered to the front door! Some fur posted a long time ago about a place to get 'em bulk at cheaper rates so she gotta find that information soon...maybe we won't run out if she orders on the Internet. Good grief...we could do that fur her!! BOL!!

Mom sad cuz she found Rupert lifeless at the bottom of the bird cage so now Tweety lives alone in that big old cage. Mom say Lovebirds need lots of attentions if they don't have a mate so mom has to spend more time with Tweety so she ain't so lonely. At least we don't gets the blame fur Rupert going to the Rainbow Bridge although many times we've wanted to catch a bird. Now he's up there probably teasing Spike again.

Jiffy the cutie little Sheba, Spike and Miracle all rolled up into one will soon be part of our fambly. Mom just gots to get him here all the way from the Nebraska.

Mom posted big Facebook announcement last night to let all her friends knowed about little Jiffy. This is what she said last night after reading the e-mail message from HUA (Hearts United for Animals): "BIG Announcement!!! HUA Adoption Committee has approved the adoption of Jiffy into our family. I'm going to faint...can't wait to pick up this adorable little fellow. Tomorrow I'll go get him a special doggie bed of his own and start making plans to go get him." She say this in post today: "It happened so quickly I haven't been thinking rationally and need more divine intervention to get little Jiffy home safely for Christmas. It's been MANY years since I've been exposed to snow, ice and all that type weather, but if roads are clear I'm up to driving the 907 miles to get him. It's less than half the distance from here to my hometown in Maine, which I've driven at least three or four times in my lifetime during summer weather."

Mom say Jiffy gonna be wuffed furever and ever. She on missions today to get him special bed and say she can't wait to spoil him. He probably gonna have to fights fur lap time with Bella, but Bella say she'll share mom's lap wif baby Jiffy.

We must get off puter and start making plans fur welcoming Jiffy to the fambly. Thank you Spike, Sheba, Miracle and our dearest furiend Ernie George fur sending little Jiffy to our home. Bless all the little doggies...especially those looking fur homes...we wish they'd all get a new furever home too.

We Are So Far Behind The Times

But that's all because of mom playing games on the Facebook instead of fixing our pages and letting us play in the forums. Bad mom!! Bad, bad, bad, Mom!! Look at our background. She tells us we are just early fur the Christmas holiday like all the stores have those decorations out now. Good grief!! Then she gots to get our banners fixed, but fur some reasons she can't get her act together long enough to work on them! Bad, bad, bad, Mom! Neglecting us is not a good thing!

She did do something really cool though and that was finally get a painting done of Sheba & Spike. She fretted over that fur a long time and then ding, a light bulb went off after she saw the beautiful work of a fellow Dogster pawrent. Bella & Scooter posed with the special painting before it gets framed & hung on the wall. Now she is fretting over leaving it anywhere and said she's going to go find a nice wood frame and do it herself. What is wrong with moms!? They worries about the littlest of things...that was dad's words!

Bella did a pawesome job in helping get cards to the Pet Postcard Project to help feed the shelter pets. With mom's help she did 251 cards using a few furiend's pictures too. We hope the furiends like what we did. We've had issues with the Dogster site too in that sometimes it don't let us always see pictures or it will give errors and we can't get to the site. Lately, knock on wood, it's been working okay, but mom got frustrated when we couldn't get in when she wanted fur copying pictures fur making the cards.

We gots to get off the puter already today, but will hopefully come back and bark some more notes in our diary or else we furgets our activities.

Oh Boy...We Got a Package

Our furiendly mail delivery guy brought a package to our door. Scooter wanted to go outside with mom to greet him, but she said no, fur us to stay in the house. OMD...Bo sent us some cool goodies, not to mention a pawsonalized copy of his very own book titled, "Bad To The Bone." Not to get off track here, but isn't it ironic how mom dressed us all in those bone bandanas last year and called us bad to the bone!! BOL! Those picfurs are still posted here on our page.

Bo's book would make the most Pawfect Holiday Gift and is available at Amazon's site. Mom said she's gonna start reading it to us a chapter at a time and we can't wait. We knowed it's gonna be good cuz it's about Bo, but since we haven't read it yet we can't rate it. But mom says twenty customers rated Bo's book at the Amazon site and all twenty gave it five stars each!! The highest rating. Way to go, Bo. Condogulations on a pawfect rating!!!

We gots a really cool blue ball made by dogtronics. It's a lot of fun to roll around the floor cuz it flickers constantly. The only problem is we can't tear it's hard plastic and no way that we can destroy it. We're almost sure Sheba would try if she was here, but mom says she don't even think Sheba could have destroyed this ball. It's like indestructible!! We also got a hedgehog hop, also made by dogtronics. It scared us cuz it hops around all over the floor like he's having spasm attacks....he's so funny. And we got a light toy in the shape of a bone. It's also made by dogtronics and is orange in color so should be easy to find should mom misplace it.

The Christmas card has seven bulldogs with Santy Claws hats on. They is so cute! All this come to us cuz we won that big stocking drawing we barked about in a previous diary entry. Aarroooo!!

Now all we need is that gigantic stocking to arrive so mom can get busy with that picfur taking. She said if it don't get here on Monday she will take one without it cuz we needs to send a card to all our furiends.

Needless to say we had a purty good day today after all, but we still is a little sad that our dear furiend Casper is battling that nasty C. We all say extra pawrayers for her every night.

We are surprised to be a diary pick today. cool is that cuz we haven't been as active on Dogster since losing some of our long time family members Sheba and Spike. The family chain has been broken, but will be linked together again when we all reunite at the bridge one day. No matter what we will always be on Dogster cuz it's the best place fur us doggies over any place on the net.

We Won a Christmas Stocking, But We're Mad at Mom

Bo barked that we was a winner in the Christmas Stocking Contest, but we furgets about entering it! Anyhow...we are some happy doggies to win a fancy smancy Christmas stocking, but we're mad at our mom. We're upset cuz she didn't sign us up in the SR Christmas card exchange this year. Can a pup fire a pawrent? We vote yes. Oh well....when we gets our Christmas stocking Bella & Scooter will get dressed up for Christmas with the stocking and mom better take a picture. We'll send a special card to any pup who sends us one...we have a few on our list already.

We sent some wuf to Bo's furbro Logan who went to Rainbow bridge just three days after Spike. Thank dog Logan got to know love in his new furever home before going to the bridge.

Happy Thanksgiving

Our sweet furiend Izzy barked about gratefulness better than we could say it ourselves, but we are thankful for so many things despite it being a sad year fur us.

Bella & Scooter are grateful to spend a second year in their new furever home. They learned the ropes from Sheba and Spike who continue to look down on them every day.

Sheba is thankful for thirteen years with mom. What a wonderful life she had after dad rescued her from that evil man who was planning to take her for a ride and dump her on some country road. She is also thankful to so many furiends on Dogster who she got to know and have fun with, especially in the KKC as she danced up a storm in those red high heels and to her best furiends in SBU where she could be top dog every single day. She is thankful for so many in all the groups for sending so much love & prayers when she was ill & went to the bridge in March.

Spike is thankful for ten wonderful years with mom. He was King of the Yard and all of his domain. He done a great job of keeping out unwanted critters. Spike is thankful fur so many furiends in many groups on Dogster who he had fun barking at and playing games with. Spike barks he is also thankful for so many Dogster pals & their moms who pawrayed he could beat the big C and stay with mom longer. Mom is missing him & Sheba on this Thanksgiving Day; the first without them right there by her side. Sheba and Spike was always at her feet in the kitchen when the foods were getting ready cuz something just mighta falled on the floor.

Miracle is thankful fur all the help in making her #1 in the brickfish contest earlier this year and fur her furiends continued love showered upon her. She is thankful mom rescued her from the doggie jail last year and she got to know lots of wuf before going to the Rainbow Bridge.

Peppy and Cricket are thankful fur having been wuffed and treated like princesses during their times on Earth.

Despite the year being a sad one mom says she would have gone to the nut house if not fur so many of our Dogster furiend's moms giving her support through the worst year of her life. She is thankful fur Dogster and all the moms who reached out to her this year.

Dog Bless our furiends and their pawrents on this Thanksgiving Day.

November Blues

We cannot believe today is Sheba's eight month anniversary at the Rainbow Bridge and tomorrow will be Spike's first month anniversary there. Mom's trying to get her journals & scrapbooks in order before she forgets those special times with Sheba & Spike. They was her constant companions for thirteen and ten years and left a big void in this house. Mom misses them so much....there's a stillness in the house without Sheba's demanding barks and Spike's comical antics...not to mention their special pawsonalities and so much more. Mom expects to see them coming through the doggie door any minute now...maybe they'll come to visit tonight.

Here's a special poem mom read's called "A Dog for Jesus," and was written by Rudyard Kipling.

A Dog for Jesus (where dogs go when they die)

I wish someone had given Jesus a dog.
As loyal and loving as mine.
To sleep by His manger and gaze in His eyes
And adore Him for being divine.

As our Lord grew to manhood His faithful dog,
Would have followed Him all through the day.
While He preached to the crowds and made the sick well
And knelt in the garden to pray.
It is sad to remember that Christ went away.
To face death alone and apart.
With no tender dog following close behind,
To comfort its Master's Heart.
And when Jesus rose on that Easter morn,
How happy He would have been,
As His dog kissed His hand and barked it's delight,
For The One who died for all men.

Well, the Lord has a dog now, I just sent Him mine,
The old pal so dear to me.
And I smile through my tears on this first day alone,
Knowing they're in eternity.
Day after day, the whole day through,
Wherever my road inclined,
Four feet said, "Wait, I'm coming with you!"
And trotted along behind.
