Arrival Story:
Sophie Rose , Jack, Sugar Plum, and I are all adopted. Our Mum adopted Sophie Rose from a kill shelter. I was raised as "Bam-Bam" along with "Pebbles" in a family with small children. Unfortunately, Westies and children often do not mix well. The home I was fostered in has a Westie named "McCartney" and, while there, "Bam-Bam" became "Bobby."

Bio:
Bob is the embodiment of Westie traits. He is a varminter or ratter of great skill (or so he believes). There is not a squirrel, chipmunk, rabbit, mole, or other creature that comes through the yard without Bob giving alarm or furious chase. Fortunately for the little critters his success rate is almost zero. In the house Bob is the ultimate lap dog. He is the kind of dog that makes you feel good no matter how rotten the day has been.

Dog Days of December

Mom and Dad have had more time to play with us and love us this month. The weather has been good for squirrel chasing. We helped decorate our Christmas tree and wrap packages, as usual. Mom put sheep ornaments on the tree. When Mom or Dad walked by the tree they would squeak one of the sheep ornaments. On Christmas mrning they tossed them to us! It was a great suprise.

Last night we had a holiday party and iinvited our neighbors. Of course I, Bob, was the hit of hte party.

My Mom and I have been so busy. We're decorating now and getting ready for the holidays. Sophie, Sugar Plum, Jack, and I are expecting lots of visitors this month. Sophie had her hair done already. Sugar Plum and I are next. Mom has to take a stab at grooming Jack. He doesn't like to go to the groomer. He is getting better about letting Mom groom him, so he'll have his turn soon.

We hope we all get big chew sticks for Christmas. Mom only gives us bully bones. They are made in this country and free from chemicals. The neighbors always give us new toys and lots of good treats. My Mom will have a lot of time off this month and we expect to take lots of walks.

More later.

The Day Before Thanksgiving

Mum let us chase squirrels for a long time this morning before breakfast. Bonus! She put a dog treat on top of my breakfast bowl. I'm sorry she had to go to work, but since tomorrow is Thanksgiving and she will be home with us Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, I wasn't too sad when she left. Dad has to work Friday. Bummer.

My sisters Sophie and Sugar have become such girly girls, and boy, are they jealous. I've shown them this week by sitting in my Mom's lap all evening.

My foster brother Jack is coming along. I teach him something new every day. He is a great squirrel chaser. I know that someday he is going to climb that tree.

More later.
