bio:
Sophie has had a rough start to life. She was found in a downtown neighborhood while a group of teenagers were throwing water balloons at her. Not sure why anyone would think that's a funny or acceptable thing to do, but luckily Sophie was rescued from the situation and brought to our shelter.
She has a limp due to a past injury on her front leg that wasn't treated properly, but this doesn't slow her down! She's currently in a foster home, and Sophie's foster mom has put her on a diet and daily workout routine. Sophie needs to keep her weight down since her front leg can't support any extra pounds. I had the pleasure of seeing Sophie last week, and I have to say she looks like a new dog! She's lost a good amount of weight, which enables her to be more active and energetic.
Miss Sophie deserves a loving, forever home. Even though she's had it rough, she has more love to offer than most dogs I've met....she's a total love bug! Give us a call so you can meet her; it'll be love at first sight!
