Hey! I got my wings!!! Thanks to those awesome wingmakers at Rainbow Bridge Angel Babies.... I am so happy to have my wings!!!! I passed away so suddenly, that I caught my mom offguard. I was not acting normal..so she and my auntie rushed me to the 24 hour vet. I got an exam, and mom was told that it is my time....After all, I am a senior dog citizen...But, like Frank Sinatra said...I did it my way...I passed on to the bridge before they could put any needles in me. Mom was happy that I was only sick a very short time. She also was ok with me going on my own terms. I love my mom. She rescued me when I was a puppy with mange. I will always be grateful for the love she showed me. I could get away with anything, and I usually did. Unconditional love. I never got in trouble. I got out of the house all the time. Used to drive my aunties and uncles crazy. I thought it was funny. My mom would reward me with cheese when i got out. So, when I wanted cheese, I would escape, sniff the neighbors flowers and run home for cheese. I had a great life. I lived in a big house, with a big back yard. I am a good dog, but I hated things to be boring, so I would shake things up once in a while. Oh, and I have a cat back on earth. His name is Gage. He is cool. Don't usually like cats, but he respects that everything in the house, including mom is all mine. I let him inside the house when ever he wanted. Then two kittens. Ugh....Patches and Tiger. Now, there are only cats...Mom said no more dogs. Yay! I am the last dog!!! No other dog gets to replace me!!!
Hmm, feeling a little hoarse. Maybe I barked too much. Catch ya guys later.

A couple of weeks before I went to the bridge, I got out of the house. I did this ALOT! I may be small, but I can walk fast. I was about 2 miles to the north of my house when the dogcatcher nabbed me. I was getting tired anyway. So, they took me to this crazy place I have never been before..."the pound". OMG! It was so noisy there! I could not even hear myself think. And could they have taken a worse mug shot? Seriously? But, since I have a microchip, my family came to get me. I was only in that crazy place a couple of hours, but that was enough. My mom still cant believe I crossed all those main streets and did not get hit by a car. And she was secretly happy the dogcatcher nabbed me. Oh well, at least I can say been there, done that!.

I was not feeling too good last week. Mom was very concerned about me, but I am an older fellow so she watched me. Sunday night (Mother's Day, of all days) I took a turn for the worse. Mom and Sis rushed me to the 24 hour vet hospital, but I made my journey to the bridge before they could put me to sleep. I did not want to leave mom all alone, but it was just my time. I will always love her extra special because she saved my life when I was just a puppy. I will keep an eye on her from up here. I love my mom very much. One day, I will see her again.
