Bio:
My name is Samantha. I was rescued from animal control one year ago. I don’t know why someone won’t give me a chance. I love people but am deathly afraid of other animals. This is because I am blind in my right eye, and have very limited vision in the left.
Here is my story: When I was rescued, I had heart worms, was emaciated, and blind. I was treated for the heart worms, fed a very good diet, and gained enough weight so that I could have eye surgery. I had the cataract removed from my left eye but nothing could be done for the right as the retina was detached. I can now see shadows and movement as long as it isn’t too far away.My foster family has 4 dogs so I have to be isolated in their den. I want so badly to be a member of the family but am afraid of the other dogs, so I grab and hold if they come near me. I have learned to sit, down, and will shake your hand (I do it better if you have something good for me to eat). I just want a family to follow around, take rides, and lots of walks. Isn’t there anyone out there who will give me a chance to have a family of my own?
