Arrival Story:
Apella (real name Acapella) is a Wakon (giant) mal mixed with a little bit of wolf. He was posted on a website as needing out of a shelter in South central KS. A friend evaluated him for me, and I agreed to take him into rescue. He was only 4 mos old-the shelter thought he was 9-10 mos old because of his size. It was a few weeks later I learned he had severe bilateral hip dysplasia. He was in a lot of pain and thanks to a gentleman in CA who also had a Wakon mal, I found what helped him - TheWholisticPet.com the gold bag. He now runs, will jump over something around 2 - 3' tall, stand on his hind legs to look over a fence and wrestle with Cy.
