Arrival Story:
Buddy was a pound puppy a total rescued mutt. He's a pampered pooch now but he does have a sad story. Buddy was rescued from an extremly abusive home were his mother was being physically beaten and he and his other litter mates were as well. A concered neighbor called the local humane society and told them about the situation but when staff from the spca arrived the man said he had "got rid of them." Amazingly a kind citizen had spotted a group of stray dogs wandering around the neighborhood and brought them to the ESPCA. What is truly amazing is that the family stayed together for 6 months well after the pups were full grown and able to fend for themselves. When me and my mom went to the SPCA summer of 1998 we picked Buddy out right away he was cringing in the back of his cage shaking violently with fear. The next day he came home with us. Just before we left the women that had helped us with the adoption of our new baby tapped me on the shoulder and said, " You really are saving his life he was due to be euthinized today." Tears were building up in my eyes and a smiled. "He is meant for me," i thought, " meant to be my Baby, Meant to be my Buddy" and from this day on he's still my Baby Budd.

Bio:
Buddy is great boy, truly a member of the family. I he gets Xmas presents and birthday cake. He loves going to doggy day care so he can play with his friends there and BEWARE ALL BIRDS anything that has wings and flys will be chased until either Buddy or the bird collapses!!. Even though he shows no mercy to birds he is a little shy at first towards strange people, because of his abusive past, but it doesn't take him long to warm up to you and want kisses and pets 24/7. I guess he just loves being everybody's Buddy.
