Diary of the Day?

WOW! Now I need to post an update....

I am back home with momma Jill for the next ten days. I've been a busy, busy boy since coming home on Sunday. I have been for a run on the beach and to the dog park twice. I LOVE playing with all my peeps at the dog park. I have also managed to tear apart and destroy, one stuffed vulture, one dog comforter and one dog bed. Oh yeah, and I managed to uproot and drag into the house half of a hibiscus tree. See? Show pups are no different than any other pup.

Mom says she needs to take me for more runs.....

Next show is Oct. 10th and 11th in Nevada.

Best of Breed

I went Best of Breed at the Santa Ana Kennel Club show. I was a good boy in the group ring and made the Judges cut.

Back from Boot Camp

I'm home again with Momma Jill after spending 6 weeks with my handler. I was a good boy for the most part but boy training is hard work. I refused to eat my full meals and lost more weight then I should have (according to the mommas). But now that I am back home I am making up for it and eating like a pig. It's Momma Jill's job to excercise me properly and keep me toned and fit for the show ring.

So while I was off with my handler we went up to a show in Santa Rosa, CA. Just for practice they said. And..and.. and...I got a GROUP 1!! It was only my third time in the ring as a Special and the Group Judge really, really liked me! My momma's were over the moon with joy but sad that they weren't there to witness it. So at only 15 months old I stood in the Best in Show ring. But the report is that by the end of the day I was a tard, tard, puppy and I didn't behave like a Group 1 winning show dog. Oh well, we are all certain that I will get many more chances to stand in that ring.
