Other dogs...unless they're tiny
Whatever is on my plate
Anywhere where she can go off leash
Don't know yet
Moochie used to belong to a woman who went into assisted living and couldn't take her. Moochie was bounced around a bit for several months before she found me. She was heading for a shelter and we all know what that means for pit bulls. I lost my first and last basset, Miss Bubbles, in August 2007 and this was the first time in 40 years I'd been petless. It's been a match made in heaven! After only two days, Moochie was given full run of the house in my absence. She only got in trouble once, and I've never had to even raise my voice to her since. She is - for me - the perfect companion.
On Nov. 12, 2011 Moochie said goodbye - it was sudden and unexpected. Blood in her belly due to ruptured spleen, huge mass in her lungs. Due to her age the vet did not recommend surgery. I am devastated. Moochie was my best friend.
Moochie loves people - adults and children, and especially special needs children. She's been known to have gangs of kids all petting her at the same time and she basks in the attention. But she won't let anyone in the house or yard without my permission - great guard dog. Moochie's only fault is that she apparently was never socialized with other dogs and so is very cautious...unless they're puppies or very tiny. We go to group class every week to help her anxieties. But even if she never gets along with other dogs, she's my forever dog.
