Arrival Story:
Pepper was a rescue from the local animal control center. She was the saddest little thing and kept in a small crate. She was over by a bunch of crates of cats, not other dogs, so I almost did not see her. I had been looking for a Jack Russell for a while and when I saw her I knew immediately that she was meant for me. We brought her home and she quickly opened up to become this energetic and happy dog.

Bio:
She is well traveled having been on several family vacations with us and it always ready to head out on a new adventure. She loves to run in the park and chase her favorite pink tennis ball, (or any squirrel that crosses our path). While she can be a very active dog, she does not pass up an opportunity for a nap in the sun. Her best friends are a Pit Bull named Lily, a Rat Terrier named Maggie, and a Welsh Corgi named Cali. Pepper has never met a stranger and will do anything for a treat (carrots are her favorite)!

My favorite Pepper story: Our neighbor had been missing her cat for a few days and was very worried. While Pepper and I were out for our last walk of the night she kept trying to get over to the stairs. I kept pulling her away but she would not budge. She was sniffing and looking under the stairs with her tail wagging in an "i found something great" manner. I went over to see what she had found expecting to find a mouse or something dead and nasty but instead it was the neighbor's scared cat. Pepper saved the day!
