Sun Sign: Quick Bio:
Likes: She loved EVERYBODY and food

Pet-Peeves: trying to move her off her throne (pillows on the bed)

Favorite Toy: Emma (6 year old neighbor)

Favorite Food: All foods

Best Tricks: Sitting and looking beautiful, counter cruising-an amazing sight to see something that low to the ground and fat retrieve food off the counter!!

Arrival Story: Violet had a very sad beginning...she was purchased by a family who had three children under the age of 5. Being a puppy she did puppy things like chew things up, i.e. toys, shoes , etc. These people had no patience with her as they were dirt bags who were smoking crack, hence she was kicked breaking her front left leg. Not only did they abuse her they neglected her by feeding her Fit and Trim when she was a mere puppy which contains no nutrients at all for a growing puppy. They fed her "Fit and Trim" because they were such rocket scientists and associated the dog food with a Basset because of their advertisement. Needless to say she was extremely malnourished when I went to pick her up with every bone in her body showing including her hip bones. She was a mess , which we discovered months later when I took her to be spayed. She had no uterus!!!!! The Vet called and said that the lining of her uterus was so thin he could not find it . I did remind him of her malnutrition and he felt that she would eventually catch up and her uterus would probably develop normally which it did at 13 months old. She also had an umbilical hernia which was corrected the first time he went to spay her. After she settled into our lives and my heart she grew to be 87 lbs. I know , you're thinking that's huge for a Basset but she was a very large Basset.....she was maybe 7 lbs. overweight...!!! LOL.

Bio: Unfortunately, I lost the love of my life 11-2-04 very unexpectantly at the young age of 7. My life is forever changed after having such a loving creature who loved everyone she met and showing no prejudice. She made me laugh and smile on a daily basis...who could ask for more....we love you Violet Rose!!!
