Arrival Story:
Sadly, my friend Shadow left me to cross the Rainbow Bridge in October of this year. It was quite unexpected to find she had cancer, and the decision to have her put down was extremely hard, but I could not repay 12 years of love and loyalty with the gamble of operations and recuperation. How could I subject her to a situation that held less than a good chance of recovery. I came home to the emptiest house I have been into in a long time. The walls seemed to echo with silence and absense. After several crying sessions and bouts of talking to a dog that was no longer there, I started looking for someone to take away the loneliness. Five days later a young couple just outside of town answered my prayers. Upon finding out I had no car, they offered to bring the female pups down to my home, and I found myself with the almost impossible task of deciding WHICH of two BEAUTIFUL Golden Retriever pups to take home. After an hour or two, there was SOMETHING... (as there often is) that drew me more toward one than the other, and my choice was made. GEEFOR... had a new family.
