Violet, as of yet, does not play with toys. Maybe that will change as she settles into her forever home.

NutroMax senior, peanut butter, baby carrots (cooked...she has bad teeth and can't crunch).

Any walkies. Anywhere, anyhow, any time. She moves as fast as her short little legs can carry her.

For now, having survived on the streets for some time.
Arrival Story:
On 11/9/08 I was on en route (and running late) and took shortcuts through a nearby neighborhood. I spied this little dog going from yard to yard, obviously lost, and sniffing for food. Without even thinking, I stopped the car, got out, and scooped her up. I briefly took her home, gave her food and water, and gave her a nice spot in the guest bathroom with blanket and bed. I left the house for 2 hours, not knowing what I was going to find when I got back.
Bio:
Violet was a temporary dog at first, but within a few hours I knew this was her forever home, even though this means dog #3. Gwen loves her, Mamie not so much. I hope this will change. Vi is very sweet, very skinny, and very grateful for her new home.

Vi unexpectedly went to the Bridge on Friday, July 3, 2009. She was found to have an enormous, rapidly growing abdominal tumor that her age and poor health could not combat. She left exactly one week after her sister Mamie crossed to the Bridge. I found and nurtured Vi for 8 months and am honored to have made the end of her life better.

Mom says she loves my front paws. They are dachshund paws..which are cute, round and stubby paws. She thinks they are the cutest paws ever.
I say...what's the big deal? Paws are paws. Not to mom they aren't.

I have been thrown the football by Henry...and I caught it! Can you believe that? Well, the rules are that I get to toss the ball to other pups, and they get to follow the rules of the game below.
I get to write 5 fun things about me, and then tag 5 pups as friends, who will do the same. Friends are new to me, as I haven't been in my forever home very long. I love having new friends. Once you tag your pals, send them a bone, pmail or rosette to let them know they're it!
Ok, so here goes......
1. I'm so cute when I rearrange my bunky with my fat little paws.
2. I love walkies more than anything in the world. I am shy most of the time but I come out of my shell when I go walkies.
3. When I go outside and come back in, I race to my spot cuz I get a KONG!
4.OK, this isn't fun, but I just don't get Mamie. Really. She freaks me out a little bit.
5. I wake up in the middle of the night 2 or 3 times....ready to rock n' roll (Mom, not so much).
