She had never been out of the wooden/chicken wire cage she was born in and didn't know how to run or play. Grass was even strange to her. We told the breeder he would never see her again and her life would be one of love and comfort. She sleeps in bed with our daughter who has loved and cared for her for the past 11 years. Bio: Scooby being every bit the beagle, slipped passed my mother-in-law one evening and out the door onto the highway. She was walking down the shoulder coming home when we saw a small sports car hit her. She broke her pelvis in 2 places and shattered her left hip socket. After surgery to remove the ball off her leg bone she learned to walk again. She never did regain the ability to run and is terrified of roads and cars. Alas Just over a year ago she went blind from an unknown head injury as a result of the accident and now has problems maintaining her balance.
