Arrival Story:
Patches was purchased by a family and the little boy became allergic to her when she was about six months old. By that time she was a pretty big girl. The first family to adopt her was an older couple but they brought her back after a week because she dragged them on the leash. My granddaughter was living with me at the time and she wanted a dog of her own and we decided to take a crack at her. Same problem. Enter choke chain. No more problem but broke my glasses in the process. Granddaughter moved back to town and Patches stayed with me on the farm. Remarried last year and she has completely bonded with new husband.

Bio:
Great watchdog but a real wuss once she knows the person is a friend. Cindy Cha Chubbs was adopted at the age of 6 in 2004. She is a MinPin. Patches ignores her or competes for treats with her. Shrek is a Maine Coon and joined the family in 2005 at the age of 1 1/2. Shrek is the working member of the family and brings all his trophies home for Patches approval. Shrek gets more lap time than either Cindy or Patches.
