Arrival Story:
After we had to pur down our beloved German Shepherd, Ranger, our whole family was very sad and our other dog, Kasey, was very depressed and lonely. So we decided to bring another puppy into our family. I have always loved and wanted a Golden Retriever so after much research I met a wonderful breeder. We met Cooper for the first time on November 28th, he was only 17 days old. We visited him again on December 19th, when he was 5 weeks old. On January 1st, 2005, we finally got to bring him home! What a way to start the new year! He's been a wonderful addition to our family.

Cooper was born November 11, 2004 in California. He has 4 sisters and 4 brothers. His AKC registered name is "Golden Spirit of Autumn"

Woof! I haven't told mommy to update here in a while, so here I am! I am now 4 months old and getting to be a big boy! I am the star student in puppy Kindergarten and love to learn new things! I finally had all my puppy shots so there's no holding me back now. I get to meet lots and lots of other dogs and love to play with them! I am starting to lose my puppy fur and my baby teeth and that makes mommy sad.

I am such a momma's boy. Mom calls me "velcro dog" because I always follow her everywhere. But I know she loves it! I love to cuddle with her on the bed. Mom said she'll take me to the beach soon, whatever that means.

I finally get my doggie sister Kasey to play with me more. Not sure what was up with her, maybe she thought I was too little before. We love to play together in the backyard and at the park.

This month, mom took me to the groomer for the first time. She said I have to get used to it. Whatever! I didn't like it when they put me in the back of the groom shop and I couldn't see mom. They had to carry me, because I wouldn't move. I just kept looking at mom with those sad puppy dog eyes. Hey, it worked because while I was being groomed mom felt bad and bought me lots of new toys and treats! I should look sad more often! She's such a sucker!

Hope you like my new picture up on the top of the page. It was taken the day I officially turned 4 months old. I'm so handsome!

Hi everyone! I'm Cooper. Mom told me about this whole dogster thingie and I had to come and see for myself. Pretty cool! I just have to get me some more doggie pals and then I'll be stylin'.

Well, January 1st was the big day! I got to come home to my human family. I was a little sad to be leaving my doggie mama and my brothers and sisters, but was excited just the same because my human family gives me so much attention and love! No more sharing all of that with 8 other puppies!

I was an angel on the way home. Well, the first 10 minutes, I couldn't figure out this whole window in the car thing. Why is it that I see all this grass out there and can't get to it because this window thing is in the way? Oh well...after a while I just got cozy on my moms lap and then later on the blankie she brought for me and put next to her. She sat in the backseat with me the entire time. Isn't that nice of her? My family lives 2 hours away from the breeder's house, where I was born! My mom also brought me a bunch of toys to play with so I wouldn't get bored, but I slept most of the time anyway!

I really like it here with my family! They spoil me so much and give me lots of attention and cuddles. I am still not liking my crate much and cry when I am in there, but I am starting to get used to it a little more and don't cry as much! I am also starting to walk on the leash a little more. The first day I came home, I didn't even know what a leash was. My family tried to walk me with it, and I just sat down on the sidewalk. Why walk when someone can carry you? That's what I was thinking. Now I realize that walking around the neighborhood and park is a whole lot of fun. Although, my little legs can only walk so far. Luckily, my mom and dad pick me up and carry me when I get tired. See, told you they were nice!

I will be 8 weeks old this Thursday and life is good! See you next time!
