Bio:
Budda is just over a year old. He has been with us for about four months now. In that time we have been working on his socialization. He has also completed a basic obedience class. He is a great dog, incredibly friendly with people of all ages, and he loves other dogs. But he is a typical lab and thinks proper greeting protocol is to jump on the other dog, and initiate play. We are still working on it:) We are looking for a special adopter for Budda, he needs a family that will be willing to continue to work with him. He responded wonderfully in training class, and would love and benefit from advanced training. Budda's largest issue that we are still working with is SA. We are working with a behaviorist, and using a combination of behavior modification and Clonicalm to help him get used to being left. When he is with our other dogs, he can be left contained in a room, but we are still working on crating him. (Updated on 03/11/09) He is your typical puppy. He loves people, gets very excited to see them, jumping up on them. He also seems to love other dogs. His biggest issue is that he needs training, and socialization. He has been going to doggie daycare with our two pups, and loves it. He wants to be wherever the action is, with the humans or the other pups.

Hi, I am Budda! I am one year old, and looking for someone to play with. I keep pouncing on the two doggies I am living with when they don't expect it. I like to play much more than they do, so when they don't play with me, I play bow, flip on my back, and bark at them trying to get them to play. I love to be where the action is, whether that is around the peeps or the other dogs in the house. Like Velcro? You will love me, I follow you to the bathroom, the basement, and anywhere else, you would like to take me.

I had a great day today! Actually everyday that I have been here has been pretty good so far. I got to go to this place today, so my foster Mom can sleep after working all night and before her next shift, there are a lot of dogs there. My foster siblings and I get so excited when we pull in the parking lot that we spin in circles and start barking. We run through the door, yelping the whole way in, because we are so excited to be there, we have to sit before we can go behind the counter. Our butts are wiggling and not staying on the ground, then all of a sudden the door opens, and we get to run into the back where all the other dogs are.

This place is like doggie heaven, I think they call it day care, but there are other dogs, balls, toys, and things to do here. I love it! I get to play with other doggies, and I am learning to fetch, mostly I chase the other dogs when they are playing fetch. I also get to go outside and play. My least favorite part of the day is when they make us rest in the dreaded metal boxes, I have wormed my way out of the boxes a couple of times so they keep me up front by the people now, I will stay in the metal box when I can hear people, and if I have a food filled kong this keeps me occupied. (Mom does this for me at home too, she has a recording of doggie classical music or her voice that she plays for me when I am in the box. This with the kong keeps me occupied enough that I don't do my Houdini act)

Stuff-a-dog, yippee, my foster Mom starting stuffing me today. She brought out these tasty treats, and starting feeding them to me. I love treats (drooling!). Anyway everytime she would give me a treat she said my name. I liked this. She also started using this noisemaker with me, so that if she said my name, and I looked at her, she pushed a button, it clicked and I got a treat. She said we would do more later.

But now I am tired, so I am going to go nap on the couch withmy foster siblings. I think I might snore the night away.
