Arrival Story:
Merlin is an ex racing Greyhound, he was brought over from Northern Ireland by Greyhound Action Scotland in terrible condition and had shut down, he had lost all faith in humans. Merlin came with a damaged tail and had about 6ins taken off shortly after I got him. If anyone moved quickly or raised their voice he was scream and run away but gradually he started to trust us. Last April I noticed he wasn't stepping under properly with one of his hind legs so thinking he had arthritis I took him to the vet. Merlin had a slipped disc that was pressing on his spinal cord and was in danger fo cutting through it. Merlin was operated on his spine and the vet found that the disc had calcified so had to use a hammer and chisel to get it away from the spinal cord. Merlin has made a full recover and is full of mischief.
