Arrival Story:
Akira was given to me by a lovely lady named Jody from Darwin, who read an ad I placed after Salem's death and donated her to be trained as a service dog to help me with my agoraphobia. Akira came via plane to Melbourne and has settled in to our family nicely. She is like heaven on four legs.
Bio:
Akira brings a smile to my face everytime I look at her. Akira was the runt of her litter, but she is growing well and will probably make it to full size, which is great.

Woof Woof everyone and how are you all.

Today my mum told me that my name Akira, means 'Bright' or 'Intelligent', I'm excited by this, although I was hoping mum wouldn't figure out how smart I am so soon. Oh well, it was nice to play dumb for a little bit, but now she's on to me I guess I'll have to live up to my name.
Mum said my name comes from Japan, hmmm, I didn't know mum spoke japanese, maybe that's why I don't always understand what she means, yeah, that's it, I think I'll stick to that excuse. Anyway, time to find something new to learn, or chew, or dig...woof.
