Arrival Story:
I went to the Sacramento Animal Shelter one rainy day with my then boyfriend and his best friend. We were looking to adopt a medium size dog. I saw her and a black lab. We decided to take her for a meet and walk and she immediately wanted to go. My boyfriend and his friend decided to see how fast she could run and as they took off, Maggie started to run fast and sideways. It was so funny we knew we had to take her. She was turned in to the shelter for killing too many chickens. I decided that we would have to keep a careful eye on her with our cat, but that we wanted to take her home. Unfortunately she wasn't fixed yet, so we had to wait a few days to actually pick her up. As we left the shelter, I made my boyfriend's friend talk a family into walking the lab as I felt bad for not taking him instead. I hope he found a happy loving home like Maggie
