Arrival Story:
My pregnant neighbor was selling purebred Golden puppies (we never thought we were going to get another dog since we had Molly) but as my neighbors due date got closer she just started giving the puppies for free. She asked us if we wanted one and we said yes. When we got her, she was 14 weeks old.
Bio:
Babe is 8 years old and is a purebred Golden Retriever. Her AKC name is Princess Babe of Pinevalley. Babe's dad runs on the large side so most of the pups were large like him. Babe weighs about 78 pounds and is just big boned and sturdy. She is super sweet. When she plays she runs around in circles and trots with a toy in her mouth. She loves doggie bones and is never aggressive. She is an absolute sweetheart and very smart, too.

Mommy had to take me to the vet about 2 months ago because she thought I had a Staff Infection (the vets diagnosed it as a Staff Infection). However, it's STILL not getting better after being on antibiotics and being bathed in this medicated shampoo 2 times a week. She's going to have to take me back to the vet for that, again.
Aside from that, mommy asked them to check my eyesite and they did a couple tests and looked for cloudiness and they said my eyesite was perfect. I probably think everything is a cat, because that's what I LOVE to chase on walks. I'm just a silly girl! :~P

Even though I am only going to be 7 in November. I'm showing signs of losing my site. When there is a basketball in the rosd, I bark at it NON-STOP thinking it is a cat - whether it is day or night. My eyes are starting to get a little cloudy (that is a sign of catracts, isn't it?), I also startle really easy.
I sure hope this is a false alarm, but it sure doesn't seem like it. Mommy will have to take me to the vet sometime to find out. Please pray that I am not losing my site!

So, my mommy's dad saw a Golden Retriever at the Airport where he works and said that dog looked awesome and really good. So that's when he decided I HAVE to be shaved! Mommy has brought the shaving thing up to him alot, But he kept putting it off. But now we have actually made the appointment for Monday morning. I have to be at the vet office (Yes, my vet has groomers too, isn't that cool??) by 9:00am and then I get to come home at around 3:00pm. In addition to being groomed I also have to have a thyroid test for my low thyroidism. I'm going to be scared because I'm scared of any loud noise, But I won't bite the groomers, I'm just going to be very scared. Mommy will post pictures as soon as I get home.
Well I think that is all I got to say!
