Arrival Story:
We found Billy the Mountain at Marin Humane society when he was about 10 weeks old. We think he's pure Bluetick Cattle Hound. He had been transferred from another rescue group, and kindly fostered for 2 weeks before being put up for adoption with this 3 sisters. We thought he was a surprisingly mellow puppy, and such a love bug - it turned out he just had Giardia! Once he was all treated and fixed up, he showed us all the herding and yelling he can do. We were already smitten, though! So far, he's been great with all the people he's met (except Santa), and he does great meeting new dogs, too. He knows to be submissive when he needs to be, but can also be quite the obnoxious clown! He's also very food motivated, which is great for training. He already learned his first trick - spin!

Bio:
Studebaker and Billy love to play tug and wrestle. I'm sure Studebaker will get a big surprise with Billy ends up weighing more than him, but for now, Stu loves to stalk and tackle Billy. Billy has smartly found all of the things he can hide under and behind in the yard, and takes every opportunity to sneak up on Studebaker for a yip and run! I sometimes think his angel guardian Amy whispers in Billy's ear, because he falls asleep with toys in his mouth, checks the kitchen floor for food constantly, already plays some pretty good fetch games, and he tortures Studebaker in all the same ways Studebaker used to torture Amy.
